I was going to bring up the penny deal.... We did that.... How many people here, though, even remember fuses in a house?

Thanks for reminding me. I have a gum wrapper for the fuse on one of my shop speakers.

BJ & the Bear rocked! Or at least it did when I was a kid,,,,,

We had fuses on our house in Sacramento growing up. My dad is the cheapest mo-fo I know and would never upgrade.

I'm actually old enough to remember .99 gas too. A $10 bill filled up my VW bug. Was awesome.

I remember most all of these things except the Hand pump in the Kitchen and the Roller skating Accordian players. LOL.

I will add, how about the original Pagers where you spoke your message which was broadcast from a speaker on the pager. When the pager went off...everyone had to be quite. It had Squeltch and volume.

Chevy Luv was my first car. Stepside, with Enkie's, Knock offs, tinted headlight covers, wide BF Goodrich TA's on the back, a bumpin little Pioneer Super Tuner system. LOL.

The oil cans reminded me of last summer had a kid helping around the shop, gave him the task of change the oil filter on my old (80's) quad the book told him the tools required are screw driver 10mm wrench and a can opener. He came to me WTF? can opener i was stunned at first and remembered the old oil cans.

5 cent Butterfingers, Ethyl gasoline and a service station attendant cleaning the windshield till it squeaked.
Also the 'ding ding' air hose bell as you drove into the station.
