Don't have computer controls. get window cranks to roll the windows down, etc. Buy old cars without all the technology mumbo jumbo. But wait, government will decide your old car won't meet the new car's safety standards to share the roads, and you either use it as a collector car with status plates, regulated how many miles you can put on per year, attending your favourite car shows.
Didn't Japan had a program while ago, you had to get rid of old cars?

Used to be you could buy a license plate cover that would obscure your plate information from being read unless the read were directly behind you. Very good for red light cameras and toll lanes.
My brother drives around with dealer advertisement plates on his cars. Throws the plate under the seat with some candy wrappers. He thinks that if he ever gets pulled over, he will claim he forgot to put it on. He has been doing that for 25 years and has never been pulled over. His wife works for the sheriff's department; he works search and rescue. No one has ever said a thing about it.

^^^ haha, I've been doing similar when driving my Viper. Never have the front plate on it and was pulled over many times. The front plate is under the passenger side floor mat. Either I claim after cleaning the car I forgot to put the plate back, or forgot to put it back after tracking the car, claiming the plate restricts airflow to the radiator. ;):D
The fine is a hefty $200, but never had to pay it so far.

The lesson from this is, you don't own anything in a commie/socialist country, they can seize anything at will, My brother couldn't keep that bike for himself. Everything, cars, even painting or real estate property was considered a national treasury.

That lesson is lost to it's name I believe. Here in the states, a judge can sign a paper after assets are siezed by a government authority. The judge can decide if those assets should be yours, and it can be determined based on reporting of the authority that took them in the first place. Yes, many times it is stolen, or profits from illegal activities, but we are reliant on the good will of those in power. It is a slippery slope that is as easily corrupted as the human in control.
It's "their" world, we only pay the rent.

(Emblem pic was left for pure cool factor!)

If you only break one law at a time you can get away with anything. :)

There is a new series on Discovery app that I am watching called "Real Time Crime" that shows a lot of this technology that has been discussed on this thread. Facial Rec, LPRs, etc.
