Question.....Does yours have the autoplayback feature on? For example, if you choose sausage party, does it automatically play after you click it or does it populate a list of different sources to choose from?

It gives you a list or different sources!

Reason i asked is because the guy who does the build i run, updated his build to autoplay the best stream automatically without me choosing. The only downside to this was, you didnt know what stream you were going to watch. There were times i chose a movie in theaters and it would stream it in chinese, espanol, with subtitles......it was a pain in the ass with any new content out.

My daughter bought a fire stick off ebay with kodi installed and no way i want her running that thing on my network. She has some add-ons that allow the pirated movies, which i bitch constantly about, but I could see some code injection going on in the future. For the guys building these are you putting any security measures at all on it? Can you sandbox the apps or run secure?

I have the Amazon Fire TV, but use it as a Prime members and can get Netflix, sling and many other so i understand the appeal, but i would be a little hesitant of the add-ons for the Kodi system.

Yah that would be a problem.. For instance.. Dropped a stick of and went through the basics, in Exodus, top stream was 1080P and Openload, right now Openload sources are blocked with a Pigeon video until the URLResolver addon is updated, but went down 1 and played a GVideo stream and was ok... You can't do anything about subtitles, you can hunt and peck for other streams without them, but chances are, they will all have them. What I've learned is one a movies is up, it seems to be copied to ALL of the various sources, so technically, even though they are coming from different ones when you pick them, they are all copies... Nature of the beast I guess, sometimes you can find a different one. Awhile ago my son was trying to find a source for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, every source was in Spanish...

One of the things I do that I have seen other guys not doing is in the Amazon Settings, I turn OFF the setting for Amazon to Collect App Data, this prevents them from tracking your usage for stats. I've re-configured a bunch of sticks for people and I don't see others doing this, that would concern me.. It's a major known thing to do when you config a stick or box from Amazon.. Also the issue with EBay sticks, you're at the mercy of whatever they installed. There are popular builds out there with good and known configured repos and addons, this is nothing new, it's been around for several years... If this was using torrents to stream, the. Yes, I'd be very concerned!! But it's not

While using HyperTT, I noticed there's no side bar you can move to in order to stop a movie or is it hidden somewhere. I used to be able to hit the side button and a menu would show on the left. The current menu does not have that feature.

If its the one im thinking of, its hidden on top. If youre using the oem controller, just hit down or the middle button on the "scroll pad".

If youre using an aftermarket keyboard or the Firetv app on your phone, touch anywere on the touchpad and it should pop up like this.

hypertt.jpg

To make it clear out, just hit the back button.

Went to hook up the arcstream amazon firebox to the new tv. Wife said she hasn't used it for awhile. All i got is the amazon logo on the screen and then it just turns black.

Anyone else ever have this issue? I contacted Arcstream with no response back yet. I will be calling tomorrow.

Are these fire sticks still working? I've had one from another source and Kodi disappeared!

I've seen where they have blasted the login and updated, but Kodi doesn't disappear, normally you can drill into systems then Apps and find it, if you can't find it on the main apps screen.

What I've see is the build chokes and you have to reinstall it, but I've never seen one that has removed Kodi.. normally it's there, just tucked in a corner...
