Anyone Wear Brundt Work Boots?

It’s time for new boots again, Timberline stopped making the soft toe Hyperion. I keep seeing ads for Brundt boots, they say they are American made in San Antonio, Texas. I’d prefer to spend my money on an American made product. For those that have, how’s the comfort and sizing? Would you get them again?

I have had three pairs of Brunt boots. I absolutely love them. For me, there is no break in period and I feel the soles and leather outlast many competitors. Try them out, they have a great return policy if you are unsatisfied with your purchase.

Redwing has never done me dirty to this day. If I was to try a new pair I’d try the Arait I believe

Never heard of Origin or Brundt, are they US made? On my last project I was walking 3 - 7 miles a day on un paved / concrete surfaces and my Redwing's would last about 8 months. Totally comfortable, but the soles and stitching wore out. Have had Danners in the past, way to heavy for my knees.

Origin boots is Jacko Willink’s company and are American made. He has videos of him handing out cash bonuses to his employees (which is alright in my book) and from what I’ve heard the boots are legit. The down side is they are considerably more expensive than the others, but if they are all the hype they will be worth it to me and will be my next pair.

I do currently have the Brunt Perkins and while they have lasted about a year which is really good for me, I’m not sure I would buy them again. The 1st few weeks I had them I truly hated them. I then found if I don’t lace the top eyelets they were wearable, but kinda takes the purpose away.

Origin’s entire supply chain is U.S. made. It’s the only apparel company I know that is like that. Usually U.S. made is import some of the pieces then assemble in the U.S.

I’ve got shirts, workout shirts, and sweatshirts so far. More to come as other stuff wears out. It’s more expensive, but worth it to me.

My redwings are 10ish years old (2 pairs that I cycle). Most comfortable shoe I own. I resole each once a year. I think it may be getting close to needing a new set though.

I used to wear Red Wings, but the last couple of pairs just didn’t last - the stitching was pulling out at the toes and soles just wore out quickly. I tried a pair of slip ons, those were one of the most uncomfortable boots I’ve ever had. It was shortly after those I found the Timberline Hyperions, but now they stopped making those in the soft toe. I did go to Boot Barn and try on a bunch of boots, but they all seemed hard and stiff, nothing comfy and flexible right out of the gate like the Red Wings used to be 20-25 years ago.

I bought brunt's last year and enjoyed them for the winter. They now make a USA made boot and its about $100 more than the non US made ones. Ill disclaim that Im not working in mine per say, but wearing them around the river/desert to keep my feet warm all winter lol

I have the MOC toe insulated boots and they're great. I have MOC toe non insulted and they suck. must be cut different. My brunts are the original not the usa made

I'm on my second pair of Cody James Decimators, used to wear Georgia's and they were comfortable, but CJ to me are like walking on pillows. Current pair is 2 years old and still feel like new.

Im wearing Keen boots for my projects at home (Which is more than standard homeowner stuff). I’m almost at a year, and they’re doing good. Really comfy too. I always kill the toes. My work, work boots are Red Backs or White Smokejumpers. My whites have been rebuilt numerous times. I think they’re over 15 years old.

I used to wear the Die Hard slip ons, they used to feel pre broke in, then something changed, they were hard as hell and wouldn’t break in, I tried oiling them and using boot stretchers, for weeks - all to no avail. That sent me to the Timberline boots, now they stopped making the model that I like.

I have tried most brands of boots. Georgia boots are super comfortable right from the start but seem to break down and not last that long. Timberland Pro’s are pretty comfortable from the start also. My current and last couple pairs have been Thorogood boots. I have been extremely happy with them once they are broken in.

I have always been Georgia Boots until they changed a couple of years ago, switched to Brunts and have zero complaints.

This is what I did. Had a pair with 18 months on them, the leather still looks great just the soles are worn to the mid soles. I sent them in for the full rebuild. The boots cost $300 so if I get another 18 months I’m happy with that. I’ll report back.

If I was still on the fire lines I'd use either Whites or Sportiva Makalu. The Sportiva don't meet NFPA standards but they are a damn good boot. In the winter when I do wear any boots or shoes I find Merrells are pretty damn comfy.

I have to try my boots on before buying, my size 13 feet are picky. I recently just bought a pair of Wolverine dura shocks in a 13 Wide. Amazing, they are the only shoe I wear now.
