This hits close to home.

I lost my mom and her parents to smoking.

More recently a good friend has had one lung removed and now his wife is stuck in bed on oxygen, all smoking related illnesses.

That said I have turned into a bit of a Stoner after my chemo treatments because of stomach upset, one hit on the electronic marvel and it's sleepy time for me.

Nobody gets out of this alive.
Oncologist often recommend weed to chemo patients. Good for you and best of luck with recovery

I quit smoking about 12 years ago and don't miss it at all. I just stopped cold turkey when my wife got pregnant. I'm not going to lie though, quitting coffee is way harder for me. I quit coffee last year and had a splitting headache for a week. Started drinking it again over the summer, and am back quitting gain...same headache!

At the end of the day nobody likes a quitter! I sure feel better living without smoking, coffee and carbs, but damn they are all very good!

Tried to hire a couple locals to help replace a section of 4" water line here at the rv park. I'm 56, both these guys were in their late 20s and 'experienced' workers.

I fired them both after one day because they were too busy vaping on the job, were too good to use a shovel, and couldn't walk without getting winded.

I'm at the point where if someone I'm paying shows up with a vape device, they are not working here.

Oh man quitting smoking is tough—I've been there. Vaping helped me cut down a lot. The flavors are a nice touch, and knowing it's cleaner than cigarettes is a big relief. Give it a try, and if you're interested, NEXA N20000 has some cool flavors to check out.

Good for you!

Cigarettes are filthy and stinky. Prove me wrong. 😜

When I was in Vegas last week, I was sitting on a bench next to an outdoor seating area for a restaurant. I was talking to my daughter on the phone and all of a sudden, I'm smelling cigarette smoke. Really strong. I turn to my left, and there is a couple standing two feet away from me smoking. Like I'm sitting on the park bench, and they are both standing in front of the bench next to me. Seriously? I moved to the edge of the bench, but couldn't get away. I may have said something like "WTF?" to my daughter, gave the smokers a dirty look to match their dirty habit, and got up and walked 20 feet away. The woman noticed and went back into the patio dining area. The dude waited another minute or so and then went back to the patio. I went back to sit on the bench, and there were two cigarette butts on the ground. Pigs.

I have no willpower, so I'm thankful I never tried smoking (I can't even quit chocolate), so I do feel compassion for those of you hopelessly addicted and allowing the tobacco companies to control when you wake, take a break, and go outside (even in crappy weather). My mother-in-law has to go outside and stand in the freezing cold, all by herself, every 30 minutes or so. Just her and her cigarette. The tobacco companies command her to do that, and she complies. It must suck, and I'm glad I don't smoke.

That being said, I cannot believe anyone still smokes with all of the help out there, and I REALLY can't believe young people smoke, including vaping. They know how it ends.

But vaping is still better than tobacco. More addictive, I hear, but less stinky. No butts to dispose of.
If you were in Vegas it's hard not to smell the weed as well. It blows me away the amount of people walking along smoking a blunt.

Wishing you good luck as it ain't easy

I've had a relationship with Nicotine for as long as I can remember but never smoked a Cigarette in my life. Cigars were my Jam ,talk about after stink. ! Stated spending a lot of time in Dubai and switched to Sheesha ( Hookah Pipe). God Damn lot of work hauling that equipment everywhere I went. Then switched to Vape. By far the worst of all because you can suck on it all day and night. Found I was not sleeping and figured out 4 to 5 hours into sleep I had to have a puff of Nicotine. Currently on the Zyn and I'm on the fence if and when I am ready to severe my relationship with Nicotine.

Oh by the way My Name is Grant and I'm an Addict! I am fortunate enough to be drug and alcohol free for 36 years.
