I found a truck I like. The process seems simple enough. The truck is heavily documented and anally care for to the point I feel comfortable with it.

If you win it’s very straight forward. I know the biggest BAT complaints are from people commenting on the ad who have no intention of buying.

ThatGuy on here sold his Excursion on their platform and did very well. Sold it for more than he paid 15 years prior. LOL

Outcold has sold a motorcycle or two on it. I check it regularly and follow a few vehicles but haven't gotten too near buying yet.

So you’ll be bringing a trailer or driving it home?

I have a friend who makes a habit of buying vehicles that require a plane trip and driving them home. It is great entertainment following his adventures to get some of the vehicles home. Then he does complete restorations or tricks them out. The cool thing is he does it as a hobby and does not sell them so they are not flips. He performs work on them that most people would never pay for. He has done it three times now. The current one is an F100, but he has a cool Hilux and a 72 blazer that are period-correct restorations. The F100 is a frankenstien. @dirtstar2002 on IG.

It seems to me that American muscle cars and classics go for less on BaT than I would expect. The audience doesn't seem to appreciate them as much so I see a few deals come through periodically. It is funny how there is an ass for every seat as they say.

I have bought and sold on BAT. If I remember correctly they charge a deposit of some kind once you bid on a vehicle. If you don't win it is refunded, if you do win it is applied to buyers fee. If you are comfortable with vehicle I wouldn't hesitate to buy.

I’ve bought and sold on BAT.

As a buyer, know you’re generally not getting a ‘deal’, but vehicle should be well represented and process is straightforward.

As a seller, you’re likely to get the highest value as the vehicle is being marketed to the broadest audience.

Good luck with the truck. 👍

It seems like it is one of the best sources for modern “usable” cars with very low miles that were built prior to the fall of reliability brought on by epa mandates and overly complex technologies. Look what happened to the Tundra and Jeep as prime examples. My Gladiator was ridiculous.

Not all, but for some vehicles if you ask what was the best year for the _____, it’s usually 7-15 years ago.

I bought a car off BAT about six months ago. Also used BAT's transport service to get it from Utah to Georgia. The whole process was very smooth and easy.
