It’s a single engine water plane (I think). Over thanksgiving it followed me down toward the springs and got really low. Took a picture while driving so not the best picture.

That's a Beriev Be-103. It's an interesting aircraft. I'm surprised that it's powered by two American made Continental IO-360 engines. It was awarded an FAA type certificate in 2003, making it legal for importation into the US. That was probably made easier by using the IO-360s.

The Beriev Be-103 (in English sometimes called "Snipe") is an amphibious seaplane designed by the Beriev and constructed by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Production Association (KnAAPO) in Russia.

Intended for autonomous operation in the unmarked areas of Russia's far north and Siberia, the Be-103 was designed for short-haul routes in regions that have rivers, lakes and streams, but are otherwise inaccessible.

About 37-45 knots is the hull speed on the water

No nothing new . The 28SS is still the King in my stable. It’s really hard to find an all-around improvement from that boat. It just works so well!

The only boat that I’ve found to work better than that has to have wings.
