Anyone know the flag ordinances in Havasu?

I can’t imagine it being a problem in this town unless you have some obnoxious liberal neighbors.😂

Anything over a 20 ft flag pole needs to have a permit!, talk to the flag guy at the swap meet or stop by his store

I’m looking for a 25 ft flag pole, my neighbor has a 20ft and it flexes all over the place when it’s windy

I’d be more concerned about your poles ability to support a flag that large when the wind kicks up.

You better go huge on the pole diameter. 4" min
With a real good anchor, whatever that is.
Its not the steady pull on the flag, its the constant change in forces.

Haha I seriously doubt the city is going to grant a permit for a 50’ flag pole in a residential neighborhood, lol. That’s Yuge!!!!
Do like Trump did.....

The story goes he had a flag pole that was taller than his HOA (or municipality, depending on the version of the story) would allow. So, instead of bring the top of the pole down lower, he took the bottom of the pole up. Supposedly he built a 10' tall mound at the bottom of the pole so the pole would would fit their rules. Lol!

I think that pertains to advertisement type flags and banners. But I’m not sure I tried to look at it but I’m on my phone and it’s hard to read. If that’s the case they’re probably violating the standards at the fire stations and police department.

The code is different for residential vs. non-residential properties.

I realize that’s probably the case, I tried to look it up on the link you provided but it’s too difficult on my phone I couldn’t find anything pertaining exactly to the US Flag. I just remember several years back there was a big controversy over the advertising flags that you see all over town.

The link includes Table 4.08-1 that states a flag showing insignia or emblem of a nation is exempt from the permit requirements. The flagpole, would be a different issue, I would bet.

I bought a 10’x15’ flag and was just starting to wonder if maybe that’s too large for residential?
I’ve been meaning to get buy the city to see what if any residential heights, size etc might be. I’ll let you know if I can get by there.
