I guess we can take a poll and see what is best for more people. February 17th or 24th. Both would work well for me. I have several spot staked out, but maybe we can make a list from more spots other people have noticed.

A few phone calls and you might get the city, county or state land trust to kick in. At least let you dump for free or maybe a couple dumpsters. Perhaps a discount at Tristate with some web publicity.
I got the state land trust to help us out below the dam.
Ryan from Slide Anchor used to go out there once in a while to do clean up. Last time even BLM provided some things.

@RiverDave

RDP Clean up or G - OUT 24 !
OR
RDP Give Back 2-4
or
RDP LOCK OUT 24

I’d pay for a limited Edition T shirt for some Dirt cred - discount on a T shirt for time served….

Can we schedule an annual Clean up ?? I think this could be a great Local event

bla bla date is the clean up date we get a taco truck at 12-2 pm at a wash what ever and some RDP Hydration make it a Great Day !
it doesn’t need to be free

Ok, let’s plan the 17th. Should be about perfect to get some of these big pieces and piles out of there. I’ll coordinate with BLm and see what kind of support they are willing to offer.
I will be in Miami that weekend ...if it gets moved to the 24th I'm in!

I have several dump sites on the north side here all scouted out. I also have been communicating with BLM to make sure we can get a blessing to use equipment to make our task easier. I am hoping they will kick in and supply dumpsters or take care of dump fees. I’ll try to make sure we have the whole plan mapped out so we can maximize our time and efforts. There are some bigger dump sites that will require more hands and equipment, and many smaller ones where a couple of guys and a ranger or general could get it hauled back out to a dumpster.

There are also some spots right near the entrance of the desert on Lake havasu Blvd that have all kinds of yard trash and construction debris. If anyone else has any large dump sites in mind, toss them out here. I’d like to come up with an efficient plan to rid the desert of as many of these as we can.

I’m not sure what kinda permits etc you’d need for that.

Right now I’m pretty inundated with supercat and other things.. beginning or middle of winter would be a lot easier for me if I put it on.

So far it looks like this guy is doing alright

So right now, after discussing this project with BLM, I think we have to postpone to a later date. The land I want to clean up is actually Arizona Land trust, and not BLM, so they didn’t have any contact or help coordinating that for me. After trying to contact Arizona Land many times, I’m still striking out on getting the help I’m looking for. I’ve also concluded we probably need dumpsters dropped off, since the garbage dumps close so early on Saturdays. Who knew there could be so much BS to deal with when trying to do something helpful. Once I get a contact at Arizona land trust I can coordinate with, I’ll come up with dates further out so we can make a coordinated effort to tackle the crap. I’ll keep this thread updated as I go.

Who our State land contact on here?
Maybe @BoatCop can help find a helpful contact?

Are you kidding? That is ridiculous
Yep, this is a thing, get permission in writing from BLM or county, some make you pull a $100.00 permit, fucking stupid. We do this each spring out here in the west desert in Utah, last year we had 8 dumpsters donated, and large garbage bags donated. Amazing how much stull people find and put in the dumpsters. We do a large raffle and give stuff away to the volunteers at the end of the day, surprised a couple years ago when BLM pissed all over us for not having a permit.

@DLC and I got the tires cleaned up this morning. He was willing to bring his trailer out and haul them up to Kingman.

They won’t accept tires on a rim, so we have 4 we will need to get removed. Little bit at a time…
