Anyone in the freight biz?

Our company in Long Beach airport is in the process of purchasing a pre-owned cleanroom in Knoxville TN. It is being dismantled this week as we speak, but the seller's loading dock is not useable at this time. I am currently taking offers on Uship.com but I figured I'd hit the braintrust here too.

It is a modular cleanroom 31'x37', mostly clear polycarb panels, aluminum posts, HEPA fan units, and light units. My boss of course wants the cheapest option to get it here. We can unload it here but I don't have control over a crew on the pickup end. What are your guys thoughts? Anywhere else I should be looking? We are looking to get it here ASAP. Goal is 1st week in Jan. so we can start assembling it. Anything short of us flying out and renting a couple Uhaul trucks I'm not sure where to turn.

Not sure which type of panels it has. I believe it is a biosafe room. Just a couple years old and was used by a pharmaceutical company.

Building clean rooms has become a big thing for our guys. The panels are nice but depending on what you’re doing there’s other options. Just curious

Awesome. We will be using it mainly for electronics assembly and design for a spacecraft we are developing. Depending on how hard it is to reassemble, I may want someone on site to help manage that process so we don't screw anything up. Gotta get over the shipping hill first tho.

Sounds like u need a 2 part deal. A crew to load, and one to haul. I can hit up a freight guy tomorrow, but as far as someone to load I can reach out to a contractor/project manager that lives in Knoxville, Maybe he has some people. But that’s kinda a stretch at this time of year.

That's what I'm afraid of. Was trying hard to stay away from a two part deal. It's turning out to be a pain in the ass.
