Sounds like Stormy was up doing some wingercizing this morning when the quake hit, he hauled ass
Funny how after his first 8 or 9 nine branch sitting he returned and got caught up on his sleep :D

I’ve been following the couple at lake pleasant, they are on egg number three this season, raven got one, then some sort of cat got in the nest and ate the second one. Mom and dad are young parents and left the eggs alone. They seem to be figuring it out with egg number three.

Two new eggs laid, same mom (Jackie) as last year, new Dad (shadow)

https://www.latimes.com/travel/la-tr-big-bear-lake-eagles-lay-an-egg-20190307-story.html

They had a short bit on the San Diego news the other night announcing the Big Bear egg.
I thought, 'Oh no, not this bald eagle shit again, I just got over last year's addiction' :p

The article didn't mention, are these Stormy's parents ? I think there were five or six different cams I got hooked on tracking last spring, I like the West End Catalina Island one, I could see fishing boats down below :D

So we have the Big Bear Family that just laid their eggs, the Tennessee Family that just hatched their eggs and the Florida Family who's about to take their first flight.
How cool is that!

Looks like still in incubation?

Dale Hallow Lake has a family of five now.

Not sure where the young adults went in Southwest Florida. Maybe just out of the picture?

Enjoy watching the Big Bear pair. How the hell does a bald eagle get a name? A bit too much humanization by some for me. Thought they were suppose to mate for life? Appears the female has a different mate this year. WTF? She may just be a slutty eagle?

Lake Pleasant eagle is done
I saw the broken egg and they say the eagle may have sensed an abnormality.
She had a few eggs and none have worked out
sad

The typical incubation period for bald eagles is 35 days. The latest egg was laid Feb. 24 and, perhaps sensing it was abnormal, was destroyed by the female eagle April 2 (37 days later).

Yeah, they were not the best parents, left the egg unattended a lot. I watched the big bear one last year, mom never left and dad brought in fresh fish all the time for her.

Lots of bald eagles at Loto, we have a pair nesting in the next cove down. They spend a lot of time in a big tree in our yard. About 10 min ago the female landed on our dock to eat a fish. I snapped a cell phone pic thru the sliding glass door.
