I'll take the winter Olympics over the summer Olympics any time. 4 years ago I also became a "fan" of women's curling after seeing the Swedish team. :D I am glad to hear that the summer Olympics brought back wrestling. It's hard to imagine the summer Olympics without one of its original cornerstone sports.

I love the winter Olympics - especially the figure skating, given that I used to skate. It fun to think about where my career could have taken me if I didn't have an extra 14" to my height. lol

I think he meant the Swiss team.

I think it was if I remember correctly, its also super hot since they are sweeping up :D To date, no olympic sports involve making a sandwich so this is as good as it gets ;)

ABC does the Olympics the best, and it's been quite some time since they did them.
CBS OK,, NBC Somethings missing, but getting a little better.

Used to be part of the ABC Wide World of Sports with 2 hour extended coverage on Sundays.
I really think it was ABC that first made it work for TV.
I believe it was Walt Disney (who had 2 ABC shows of his own) that urged them to pre-empt regular programing and make it a TV event for the duration of the Games.

Always love the Olympics.
In spite of time differences, they should show them live and repeat them for the US time zones.
Why not, what the Hey?

Jim was always the best announcer and show host. Timeless.:thumbup::thumbup:
Some events more exciting to watch than others obviously but I always find it interesting to see sports we rarely or never see.
