Also. The transom piece only has 3 hinge points and the plate has 2. All the kiekhofer ones I have seen are 4 on the transom and 3 on the plate.

That's what I thought at first. But all had 4 hing points on the transom bracket. If you got a pic of one post it please.

After talking as showing pics to racey he thinks they can be welded. But if I can find another pair then that would be better. Yea I know I can get new ones. But trying to keep it as original as I can.

They could be. Just tried calling merc racing. But they are closed.

You would think the mr would be a give away. But looking at all the old parts diagrams the hinges are all 4 and 3. Mine are 3 and 2.

I think so too. Kiekhaefer built their first K planes in 1970, who knows how much they've changed in 48 years, but I would guess a lot.

Another builder of off shore parts back in the day was Gil Marine. Don't know for certain if they made K planes?

I bet 'Two Cents' here on the RDP would know for sure. He raced offshore back then, before back then, and knew everyone. He's a wealth of information. You might PM him a link to this thread.

I'm also kinda curious to see whats under one of those anodes.

I think they are Mercury Heavy Duty Offshore Trim Tabs. Here's a picture of one

As for finding info on them or where to buy them now the internet is pretty barren of info which is odd. I'm gonna keep hunting.

Just got off the phone with mercury racing. They say they are made by Redstone. Mercury racing partnered with them at some point to make the k-planes. Then either quit or the partnership ended.

So more than likely there is no parts and I will never find another pair.
