Working on my daughters 2013 Highlander. Car is not throwing any codes. Won't idle. Car has 240K miles so don't mind throwing a few new parts at it.
Started with the easy stuff and changed plugs - no change. New injectors - no change. Speculating the fuel pump as the next step. Tried the auto parts loan-a-tool, but they do not have the high pressure fitting to adapt it to the quick release on the highlander.

Any thoughts on how to check the fuel pressure?

Or what other option might be the culprit?

Thanks in advance.

2014 Camry. Had to clean the throttle body butterfly. Carbon buildup. Didn’t look that bad, but it messes with the computer calibration. Would die at random times, especially at idle.

Definitely start here, before throwing parts at the thing.

Also...

Disconnect both battery cables and touch em to each other for about 30 seconds, AFTER you get the throttle body squeaky clean.

This sets the computer back to square one.

You may also have a bad idle control motor, but let's try this first. 👍🏼

Won’t have an Idle control motor, as it’s drive by wire.

Fly by wire doesn't use an IAC....they use the throttle plate actuator for that.

use carb cleaner on a rag....maybe a tooth brush.

I wouldn't disco the battery....it'll just idle high as shit for a bit. Let it relearn the throttle body position, no need to make it relearn everything.

Idle air control -iac. Lets enough air buy to let it idle.

Will it start and can you keep it above idle

Throttle body for the win!!! Also cleaned the air flow sensor while I was at it. Throttle body was filthy.
Did the key thing that Time Bandit showed. Seemed to have helped as it learned the idle quickly.
Once again RDP comes through.
Thanks all. 👍

My first thought also. I looked for this on the interwebs and at the auto parts. Nothing on line and the parts stored showed no serviceable part. If anyone know differently please let me know. I would like to change it.

Fuel filter is like my jeep it is part of the fuel pump and sender. You have to replace it all at the same time.

Yes that is the only filter I was able to find any reference for.
Nothing in line.
