LOL They can put me on ignore and figure it out for themselves with memes.

@RVR SWPR - They have the preproduction short wheelbase cars out. Those won't be much good for us in the southwest.

They went over most of the assembly line and factory in the last couple weeks. There are many folks here with new and unique information about what is going on. at Speed and with production. All the criers just ran them off and discouraged them from posting what they know.

Don’t bother trying to meet up with Carl to view one of the 6 cars that he is selling. He does not have them in stock. LOL

I don't want to take your money . I have gone for a ride in the Pre Production car , Robby is a very nice person but think he has bit of to much trying to build a Production car . Also as far as I feel if there ever is a production car made that is delivered to one of the people with a deposit it's NOT going to have all the same stuff as the pre production car . It's like going to the car show and looking at the "Concept Car" that if made is never the same . Just to start he said the shocks on the Pre Production car cost $10,000 , don't think he is going to put them on a $35,000 car!!

I'm sure you are 100% correct and no one will ever get a car with the specs promised. See you in the dirt.

Food for thought.. Ever priced out a set of OEM Polaris shocks for a Pro R? They are over 12K MSRP.

I saw and sat in the El Jefe test car about a month ago at the Havasu location, it looks like a ton of production parts on that car. I was driving by and saw the car outside so I stopped to look, the guys that were there were cool with me checking it out. There did not appear to be one off parts on it, I'm thinking this would be a done deal as far as production goes if not for supply chain issues. JMHO

To fully understand how it has ended up this way you would need to go a few years back
Essentially a few 'speed' investors/deposit guys starting saying this speed is the best and the rest is basically shit in comparison.
Well, thats not ok. Like saying your nordic is shit and the unicorn magic is better.
(Not a specific manufacturer but you get the idea)
That is what started the negativity for ONE example
The other is listening to 'robbie' and todd talk shit about the others a longggg time ago As well as claiming these cars would be in garages by xx date.

Ive watched maybe 3 weekly shows. The very 1st one todd showed a grill on the ground and said 'these will be available when you rear end the competition'
I was out right then. Thats bad business, arrogance and a bit of narcissist attitude.

So they have talked a big game. Said my utv is not as good as theirs. Sorta like the few individuals on here

Now, fast forward to still no cars and people are not as defensive on their investment
It is now 'it will show up whenever '

I did have a dog in the fight. I considered it pretty seriuosly. Now no way.

My opinon on this business is only my simple guy opinion so its not worth getting into another debate.

I hope the deposit group here gets what they expected. Lots of time and aggravation waiting im sure.

I know LOF outside of here. He is a friend, any banter on this subject was more fun than anything.

I hope Carl1 gets stuck with all 6😀

The negativity here has nothing to do with the product. It has to do with the people here.

I’m not saying this as a slight to you, because I consider you a friend. But you are like most people, you don’t have a dog in the fight, and you watched 3 out of 100 releases. You are literally working with 3% of the available information. I’m bullish on the car obviously, but it’s not perfect, no one claimed it will be. Nobody has all the info, but let’s be honest, if someone has a question you aren’t going to be a knowledgeable source of information as it relates to the car.

If someone does not like the design, don’t buy one, if someone does not like how the car is marketed, don’t buy one. If the product was the source of the negativity you’d come in here and say “I hope you guys get your cars, those Speed guys are assholes.” And check back in another 6 weeks. No on does that. People with no knowledge and no skin in the game come in daily to complain or watch a circus of stupidity.

Your last sentence summed the whole thing up. Dave, Carl, myself or someone else rubbed someone in the thread the wrong way and they are hoping Speed fails and we lose our money.
That is the only explanation why people keep coming back to these threads complaining about the people that post in them. If they would man up as you did and say “I don’t care for you and I hope you lose your money.” At least we could have a discussion like adults instead of gaslighting, memes and virtue signaling.

Make no mistake, there is a difference between friendly banter made in jest, and negative gaslighting hiding behind a UTV. People aren’t blind, they see right through the BS.

Not all of us come back to these threads for the BS...that's why I only popped into the original shit show a couple times.
Do I have money on one of these? Nope.
Do I like offroad? Yep, spent many nights in Barstow, even pitted for a 7 truck back in the day.
I like just about anything that goes fast enough to do something stupid...wheels or water, but most of my fast stuff had wheels.

I open the threads because I want to see people I communicate with beating the hell out of a car they spent money to buy. I don't want to see test and sales videos. I want to see real people on trails I may be on.

Some of us open the thread to see the first post of someone smiling with their new toy!

Thank you, and that is appreciated. We will be smiling sooner rather than later, and I too am eager to beat the crap out of it.

I’m not the single source of truth on the subject. There are many others that have great insight or information. They just won’t post because of the negativity, which is unfortunate.

You’ve been hating on this thing from the get go.

I get it.. honestly their marketing turns me off too.. it’s like a hot chick with a squeaky voice that won’t shut up though.. eventually ya ball gag the bitch and take that rodeo to a whole new dimension.

I care about the car.. the noise from them, and the noise from haters and praises to me is irrelevant.

That said I could sell all my pixie dust right now and make 15-20k across three cars pretty easily so I am still in the metaphorical pot… and like the user title says “in it to win it.”

If this economy changes much more though I will sell two of the three spots pretty quick and keep one as a personal car.. because while I might end up broke.. I’m not gonna be poor like a can am or RZR owner.. lol

(Ps this was a joke.. please nobody get your parties in a wad). Also should be noted that I have been trying new alcoholic products.. 😳. They claim no hangover? We will see at 6:00 am tomorrow..
