I think a lower river RDP meet up needs to happen.
If there isn't one already for all the peeps that go out solo.

I'm a dirty Buckeye resident now, so I'm 1.5hrs from Blyth.
And my lil shit turd has never been in the water down there.

When we lived on the West side, we would tow to Blythe and launch instead of going to Lake Pleasant for the day.

So much more enjoyable.

Ill be at LL for Labor Day weekend

Water levels usually drop off after that weekend things get a little dicey, especially for someone that doesnt know their way around.

We are heading out to The Cove for Labor Day Weekend. I have the following week off and might stay down there for a few extra days.

I am just hoping it is better than last Labor Day weekend.

Last year we did not get to boat at all due to low water Saturday and then a large monsoon caused a bunch of flash flooding that ruined the water with debris on Sunday.

Hahahaha, yeah last year SUCKED!! Hoping to have my new Bassetts for the little boat, Im not running it again unitl I get those on and water dialed in. He is sending out a new T valve so hopefully that will fix my water pressure issue.

No, the Bassett T valve was stuck and letting too much water to one side and basically none to the other. The side getting too much was also putting water back into the motor making the oil milky.. Mike decided best to just run them dry. They are junk anyways, the flanges were warped and not sitting tight to the block creating exhaust leaks. Last trip we took it out ran it dry and everything back there was SMOKING HOT!!! Probably not good for brand new interior, hahaha. I couldnt even touch the side panels when whipping it down. Buy another boat they said.... it will be fun they said... Hahahaha. Is what it is, if I dont spend it Donna will at Target, so might as well be on COOL SHIT!!!

I run a valve at the drivers seat on the stringer.
-4 up and back. Quarter turn ball valve.
Additional valve at the pump for slowing down the water.
At WOT, just a fine mist.
Easily shut off/down for the no wake zone.

How far south of Blythe. 15-20 miles? One bridge. Two bridges. Sorry that’s how a gauge how far down I’ve gone from McIntyre 🙄😜🤷

Same here.

1st Bridge = something cool to see (especially if there's jumpers)
2nd Bridge = I'm close to Mexico and I really trust my boat!

I do about 5 solo trips a year in Blythe

I actually enjoy them a lot . Sometimes I’ll meet up with people
Most times I head way down south of the 10 and sit on a beach and hang out . View attachment 1417518

I'd like to do the same, maybe 2 to 3 solo trips to Blythe a year. Still trying to envision myself solo launching my flat, "Can you hold this for me while I park my truck? Don't let it touch the sand, for that matter don't breathe on it and only touch it if it's floating away!" :p 😂

Lazy Harry's.
A number of years ago,
Flat bottom guy's boat wouldn't start...
Told him there's a good battery in the back of my truck.
Put it back when you're done.
Held his boat and mine while he retrieves said battery..
End of the day, battery was back in the truck, dark :30.
Still don't know who that was.
Glad to help.
