Still hand made in Maine for 110 years. Come with a card signed by the person that made them.
Finally had to order a new pair.
Shearling lined.
They can easily last a decade. You can send them in to be rebuilt too.
Occasionally a coat of Kiwi water proofer -good to go.
I wear them at the dunes, off roading, traveling in bad weather, working about the house great in the rain. Feet warm and dry.
Not particularly a hiking boot for most but for some it works.
Norway has announced banning diesel ships from the Fjords is still in the process so our girls are talking up on last cruise ship visit to hike the snowy, wet, “romantic” story book trails.
Girls use “Eastwing Knots.” Laces side-tied, not the traditional bow so they can step-in slipper style:
Works for them. Chix stuff.
LL Bean “gumsole” Duck boots as my dad still calls them.
A tradition in our family for 96 years.
Any other fans?
