I made the mistake once, and only once to "double up" since the two dates were so close together. Just get a card and flowers for the combined dates. Being a guy I thought that was really smart and efficient on my part and my wife would appreciate that.

Um. . . for some crazy reason she did not see it that way.

You really don't want that filed in your "shit he has done" folder in the file cabinet she keeps.

Trust me guys, even if your wife's birthday is on the 14th, never, ever, try to combine the two.

When I go in to get the birthday stuff, I also get the Valentines day stuff.

Used to be a big deal for us, now it’s card only however my husband started putting gift cards in my card. The cards I would give him were just a cards, nothing else . This year I put gift cards in his card…..mine was empty .

Wife and I said happy valentines day as we passed each other in the hall and that was it. She thinks the day is stupid.

Now as far as flowers go she didn't like getting them. Said a waste of money. Well I started seeing these bouquets at the grocery store for $12. So I grabbed one and bought a vase, because we didn't even own one. Anyway they lasted about a week and a half. Wife said she really likes having them on the table and see them when you walk into our place. So every 10 days I grab another, so for $36 she is happy.

Valentine's Day 2024 was awesome!

I delivered flowers to my wife at work yesterday morning, and when she got home, she had a new ensemble from Lululemon. She topped that all off with a Tool concert at Crypto Arena last night!

Her dinner consisted of cheese and nachos washed down with a stiff Margarita and a Coke and pretzel for me.

I don't think it gets any better than that!
