I’m thinking about getting a four post lift for my garage to put both boats in one garage. I’ve got tons of overhead space, and plenty of width. Just short on length. My concern is finding a lift with enough width between the columns to pull the trailer through, and the tires fit on the ramps. The plan is the Hallet on top, the schiada underneath, because the schiada is only like 4 feet tall on the trailer. I don’t plan on bolting it to the ground, that’s why I’m thinking four post deal. Anyone have something like this, or done anything like this? Any thoughts should be awesome. Thanks gang…

I don’t have it yet but I ordered a bendpak. It seems to have been the biggest one I could find for my boat and space available.

I've got an Advantage 4 post in my garage. Are you wanting to park 2 boats on the bottom or the top? Or one top and one bottom? Not sure.

Let me know and I'll go take a picture of whatever it is your wanting to accomplish. Mine is not bolted down either. I have a post tension slab. It is n't going anywhere. But they are very easy to move when you want to. The "dollies" they come with, allow for it to lift itself off the ground and up on the wheels to roll. One person can do it.

Good to know. I'm interested in one of their small scissor lifts. Thanks.

first shot shows you the width. Thats a F450 partially under it. The second shot shows a rolling jack tray that comes with them. You could put a tongue jack on it for the top boat. Last shot is the jacks that allow you to move it.

There should be a local installer there. @Instigator bought one and assembled it himself.

Another vote for Advantage.
Steve has the 2 car and I have the tall 11k dually lift.
I had a Lopro 28 Daytona on it and still drove my dually and forklift under it.
Nice lifts too.

When you put a boat on it just use Jack stands under the frame of the trailer as the tongue jack and a large portion of the boat will be sticking out one end.

Is that single car lift that is built wide, or is that one of the 2 car lifts that Bendpak makes?

The house I just bought has a 50x50 shot, but I'm seriously already out of room, with a motorhome, 2 boats, and a few cars in there.
I was thinking of buying the 2 car lift, and putting the boats up there in the winter, and the cars up there in the summer. It would probably solve all my problems if I can fit a 28ft pontoon up there, but the trailer is LOOOONG

Nope, that's a standard 2 car. Plenty wide. Its 10,000# for the top. I've had my Chevelle and the Wife's Corvette up top, never even wiggles.

I bought one two years ago and use it to free up floor space and work on my vehicles.
The one I got is rated for 9k and is extra long and tall, when up I can walk under it without worrying about banging my head. Was supposed to be delivered and installed in Havasu but installer was non responsive when it was about to be delivered to AB in Vegas. Went up and picked it up myself and installed it with help from a friend, saved $1,300 and know how everything goes together. On the mfg. site detailed dimensions are listed ramp width, drive thru width etc.

2 post will always be better for automotive rapair/maintenance work but for storage I deam of the double wide four post lift.
If you have the height and width for the lift just do it.
You will not regret it and even if they do they actually hold resale value (80% or better)

I've got the width and height, just not sure if it will hold both boats. I'd assume my Placecraft wouldn't be an issue, but the damn pontoon is LOOONG

Thanks, thats pretty much what I'm looking for, I wonder if they make one long enough for my pontoon, and then also wide enough to shove 2 boats under the lift during the summer.

Your garage floor is killer BTW.
Thank you. The floor looks great when its clean. I need to take everything out and mop it. Its super dusty.

Measurements are easy. Don't worry about the tongue jack. Get yourself two jack stands and put one on each side of the frame between the tonge jack and tires as far back as it still feels solid when the tonge jack is off the ground a few inches.... like jump on the tongue solid.... and then measure from back of the tires to the jackstand and that is the length you need. The tongue and drive can hang off as long as it is solid.

Man that’s nice. It would be on my trailer right now if my ceiling was just a little taller.
