All good, sounds like a chunk of concrete or a manhole cover will do you well then.I dont make stuff. I use my anvil & rail to beat metal truck parts straight . Works for persuading rusty bolts to get the “F” outta my way![]()
I don't care who you are but that's funny! All good, sounds like a chunk of concrete or a manhole cover will do you well then.
That is why I only own a baby 95# one. Lucked out, and only gave 100$ for it a few years back. Really want a 200-250...but now they're pushing 5-10$ a pound. It'll be a little while...He paid View attachment 1299064 $3200.00 for one.

Know a guy with a service truck, big old thing. 6k crane and a damn near complete shop. I think the rear bumper is 7/16ths plate! 18" by 102"...beautiful steel work table.Concrete wont hold up and manhole covers are non existent where i live. Lol. Try looking on Youtube for a video on how to make one from a section of railroad rail, then take your cutting torch to the nearest railroad track!Who has one in their shop? I want one but finding they are not real easy to come by unless you order a new one online (some are lesser quality). The high quality older anvils cost a BUNCH and you need to find a way to get one shipped to you.
Good way to make a chopped up piece of track. An anvil you will not have. Not even close.Try looking on Youtube for a video on how to make one from a section of railroad rail, then take your cutting torch to the nearest railroad track!
Seriously, some guys do make them from a section of track rail.
