We used to have ant problems on about the same size lot. We got a monthly pest control service and they pretty much disappeared. Best money ever spent.

Gasoline and a match. Keep an extinguisher handy tho.......just in case.

DE around the perimeter if you have pets. It somehow acts as ant barbwire.

I put down a bag of bug b gone with a hand spreader in November, and May. And use the stuff you hook up to the hose and spray the yard in early July.

Ortho Home Defense Max, spray around the perimeter of the home. Should keep them out of the house at least. You may need to do it quarterly just to keep it going.

Same....300/yr and no more spiders, ear wigs,crickets, ants, ect. Now the only thing that creeps the wife out is me

It's little granules. They pick them up and take them as offering to the queen and share with everyone in the colony. I've used it for at least a decade, maybe two. I sprinkle it around the perimeter of the house once or twice a year. If I see a hill anywhere on the property, I sprinkle it around it. I have not had an ant inside my house since I started using this product. Also, they don't like peppermint oil. Same with spiders, but it just repels them; it doesn't kill them.

I used it when we had dogs and cats, but I'm sure it's not safe for them to ingest. I'd stick with DE if I had puppies.

The pups eat, dig and play with whatever they can get a hold of. I better stick to DE. Thanks

Make sure you get food grade DE.

Check your local pet store. They will probably have it and it's very cheap.

DE will kill anything with an exoskeleton.. fleas, ants, termites, ect..

Just know that if it get wet or exposed to moisture. It wont work!
