So we had the wife’s fountain drained but of course it collects rain water. I’ll usually scoop it out and dry it and clean out the leaves and whatever other crap the wind brought. Well I’ve ignored it for several weeks for various reasons and I took a look at it today and this red (water?) is in there.
What? Why? Any of the RDP genius pool have any words of wisdom?

Algae / mold, dump it and move on

if it’s pink slime on the surface it’s bacteria not mold.
empty and use chlorine to wash it

Turns out the water was pretty clear, but the mud/silt on the bottom had a reddish brownish color. It left a little bit of a stain after cleaning it out. I’ll clean it up with some bleach.

Yes, Manganese, in the old days, Havasu water had it real bad. What it looks like to me at least.
