So, nobody is expected to tip the mailman when they deliver a package. UPS, FedEx and Amazon don't come expecting tips. Why is there a spot to tip the delivery person when checking out at Walmart? I got the Walmart deal awhile back to get the online price for something that was quite a bit more in the store and just never canceled the free trial. I usually use Amazon when I want stuff for around the house, but this time I went to Walmart online to get the items my wife was going to pick up at the store today. I saw there a spot in the checkout to tip the driver, this just struck me as odd. They're not delivering to-go food.

Tippng is outta hand. People Will do anything to get in your pockets. Pan handling is even worst, it use to be spare change. They are now asking for a spare $5’s! 😎

I saw just yesterday, a vendor on Amazon wanted a tip when you check out. NOPE! Find another vendor without the tip option. What gives?

Give em a $100 tip next time ...fold it in half when you hand it to them

Funny story.

When we used to write computer tickets (it will come back someday) I had that tip screen saved as a picture, so whenever I’d give someone a warning that was nice or cheerful or made me laugh, I’d walk up with that taking up the whole screen and say before I let you go I just need you to pick one of these and then I’d look away and whistle like a fucking Starbucks barista 🤓

I was just at Jamba juice. And was looking for a tip cup. It said no trash on it. Went to drop my change and it said spoons on it. I ask the girls where is the tip jar? The Owner said now that they are considered fast food workers and get $20 a hour. They are no longer allowed to accept tips. So He is mad about paying them more which I understand. But punishing them by saying no more tips is not a good way to boost employee morale.

Similar thing at Blaze Pizza. They no longer have a tip cup. And when I asked they said new owners don't allow it.

Friends kid works at Starbucks. Managers collects the tips for the week and split them. And he includes himself. Kid said most are lazy and he gets tipped the most but it gets split with every worker even if they work a different shift. He said no incentive to try since he barely gets a small cut.

I had some awesome service at a Home Depot a year or so ago, getting a couple pallets of block loaded into my trailer. Now this is an unusual experience. Normally it is a torturous endeavor. But this gal and her forklift driver went out of their way for me. I offered a tip, but she refused. I jammed a $20 in her jacket pocket and said: "Well how about lunch is on me?" I left before she could object.

Yeah, it's absurd. Everywhere you go, they want a tip at the counter when you pay. But I haven’t even gotten my food yet! What if the food’s awful or they mess up my order, and I don’t realize it until I’m already home or back at the office? Then I’m stuck regretting the tip. It just doesn’t make sense to tip before you’ve even had the chance to experience the service.

I have tried to tip the employees at HD. Not allowed and they would not accept it. It is worth it if it saves me time. Nothing like waiting 30 minutes for them to get a forklift.

Service is night and day better at most places I go. After a few times and they realize I tip well.

Whenever I get something delivered, like a bed yesterday were they haul one out and bring one in, I would throw the guys a 20 for lunch, well 20 will hardly feed 2 guys anymore so yesterday I gave each guy $20. I do same with a plumber who is unclogging my drain and put me to front of line like my plumber always does.
