Damn...the weather!Next stop is Park City area. Always love this place. I’ve been here a lot for work meetings over the years but never for pleasure. It’s amazing how much this place has grown in the last 10 years.

How about a few street scenes in Aspen…
Here is a rarity for the Porsche folks out there. One of the very few built 993 club sport models. I don’t think these were sold in the US? As I approached to take a picture I see a guy squatting down to take a pic of the rear fender and wing then I notice it’s Jeff Zwart!!!!
One of the most winning pikes peak drivers and a true Porsche legend for not only his driving but also his photography and film making about Porsches. He has also written a number of books about Porsche.
This is not a car you would expect to see driving around in the rain on a Sunday!!

Same Car ??
Noticed the roll cage was the same color and other features appeared to be the same as well. That’s the same model - given the rarety in the US, it could be the exact same car.
Thanks for posting that video - I learned a few things about the car!
Again - not the sort of car you expect to see driving around on a rainy day! With the money is Aspen - I’m not surprised but never expected to see it as driver on the street!
I can attest to losing one backwards when I missed a down shift from third to second on a downhill sweeper. I slapped it too casually and it hit natural. And after a couple of tank slappers, around she went. Through a drainage culvert tearing off 3 wheels and arms!!Noticed the roll cage was the same color and other features appeared to be the same as well.
Very cool, I've never owned a Porsche, but as a boomer I can sure recall some stories told over beers, how those much respect those models demanded ----- or else.
Good that you made it back in one piece. Now get out there and wash that car.Made is back home today!

It was a great trip this year and I hit a few new places along the way. It is nice to see my friends hotel open after 3 years of work. The Boardwalk Hotel and Bar in St Ignace is a great place to stay or stop in if you are local for a drink - they have live music most nights. https://boardwalkhotelup.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=gbp
Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the last month or so…

And so ends another great summer road trip…
Thanks for following along. Get out and drive America - it’s an awesome place. Especially those out-of-the-way corners of our country that you never hear about.
Go meet some new people. Have a drink at a local bar. And see what makes our country great - the people, landscapes and towns of America!
Cheers

I knew I recognized that hotel from Somewhere in Time.
The night pic in the post just above is the Boardwalk Hotel in St. Ignace. The daytime pic of the big brick building is the hotel Jerome in Aspen.
Is Somewhere in Time a movie or a show?
That was the Grand! I’m not much of a movie buff but that sounds like a good one!Somewhere in time with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. They had it at the grand hotel in Michigan which looks like the pic above with the white porch and horses. Jane Seymour a damn fox in that movie too
