I deal with a lot of acquisitions globally. The comments about the generations seems universally correct. The faster the founder's offspring leave, the better it seems to go. It must be painful to the ego for a founder to sell and expect the kid to take a job for the buyer. We have a few of those and very seldom, like almost never are the kids smart enough to take advantage of learning from the buyer (public company) and then starting and building their own legacy. They hate not being able to continue the lavish lifestyle on the company dime.

It took years for my Son to understand why I would not fund racing for him. All his little friends whose Daddy's paid for racing did not build their own legacy. They are 100% under Daddy's thumb, my son got a hand up, not a hand out. I bought him running shoes and told him to go race cross country. LOL

This story is really a shame for all the factory workers that just want to put food on the table. Damn shame.

i know the family personally. my good friend timmy married dereks daughter and has it made ever since.. theyve been a family of crooks for a long while. dereks had rico charges on him for his cannabis grows for some time now.. not sure how thats progressing in the courts.. ive been trying to warn people about this guy for some years now, atleast 4.. did a google search now that the court info is out there on him and found this site. its a damn shame the company his dad built is about to be a thing of the past. once old man wachob died, paragon pipe died. Lots of my close friends will be laid off soon, they employ most of sapulpa.

Yea i believe Linda is still alive and still working in the office. Paragon and the glass plant have kept sapulpa going for years. So many good honest people are gonna lose jobs. If they auctioned off all the dale earnhardt cars and hear they have, along with the rest of the cars in the front shop, they could easily repay debts. Derek lands his helicopter in the field next to my house just to visit walgreens. He's that big of a piece of shit. Pardon my language.

Feel really bad for her and their family that are not involved in his mess. I met him a couple of times years back, but it was before Jack's passing and he didn't seem like a too much douchebag back then, just a typical rich kid but not the type that could run a large company.
