So primed myself a new Dewalt variable speed polisher and the knucklehead delivery guys parks a house away, walks up sets it in full view of the street and walks off. When we have a protected from sight alcove on our porch all other delivery people seem to use. Luckily my dog barked and alerted me to somebody in the yard so I looked out and saw the van driving away.

I seriously think it was purposely placed there for the porch pirate friends of his to grab. It was in the original Dewalt package and everything

Done the same thing to me numerous times, but the one that prompted me to call and raise holy hell was when I found it sitting in the middle of the driveway, like he'd driven up, opened the door and just kicked it out. I immediately called and it's never happened since. Although the lazy pricks still leave it in plain sight, when with one added motion it could be placed behind the end of a wall.

Well, shipping is free, what do you expect for free.

I had a few choice words with Amazon when I was sitting on my side porch one evening waiting for my delivery...which wasn't by the front door or side porch when I got home. Come 9 o'clock I decided to check status on the app and it said "delivered, handed to resident". Bullshit, nobody handed me anything....I know because I was there. I got up to check the front porch again and noticed a box sitting by the gate by the sidewalk...prick just threw it out his window over the fence and there it landed in a pile of dog shit. I then noticed the delivery driver hauling ass around the neighborhood and not even tapping the brakes at stop signs on my street. The driver came back and apologized 15 minutes later, and I haven't had an issue since.

Although now that I've moved, I have a new delivery driver. He left my Dewalt planer ($750) sitting in plain view in that nice big yellow box. Luckily someone was home all day that day.

The big issue I have with Amazon is that certain things they ship in the original factory carton. Like others here have mentioned DEWALT YELLOW BOX draws the attention like flies on shit.
I told them once before that I want all my packages to be in generic cardboard boxes and so far it has been that way.

My drive way is 1000' long paved road , straight as a sting typically the postal folks , ups etc will drive to the house and leave packages on our porch , I have a well marked rural mail box at base of the drive at the city road, recentlty We arrived home to find an amazon box left leaning against the mail box post where anyone walking or driving could simply pick it up...

They struggle with the so called last mile of delivery. I don’t think the folks doing it, at the end of the day, really make a dollar.

In our town we get everything delivered to our post office. The Amazon folks that pull up with piles of crap to drop off to the PO look pretty sketchy at best. Most of them driving their personal car.

It is all so true I just get frustrated by service sometimes.
Heck I am the one who tells people that service is not a widget when you find a lower price it is a lower service, don't expect high quality for low budget.

We had On Track literally throw a shipment of infant formula 15 feet onto our porch. We know cause we were sitting in the living room and saw it fly in from the side, then the shit box can drive off. When he turned around, we saw he had his kid with him in the passenger seat!!!!!

Thats better than a delivery I had recently - it was raining out and they left the box in the driveway in front of the garage instead of bringing it to the front door. I was home and had no idea it was out there and after being rained on all day the books that were ordered were all water logged.

"out sourced" delivery company. They completely lost a package of mine last scanned 1/2 mile from my house.

I just bought the same from Amazon. Sitting on my porch in original box as well. Good thing I waited for it or after 5 days at River dought it would of still been there. It works great with the 3M perfect it compound and wax.

Years ago, I ordered a Bose stereo ($990) from an unnamed mail order place. It never came. I filed a claim, they sent me a new one. About 6 months later, one of the snow birds in the building said “do you know what “Bose” is?

She said a neighbor put my package in her house while she was home in Chicago. “It has your name on it”. I went to get it. Still have the second one in the box. Don’t tell.
