2 weeks ago we headed out to a place called Dusy Ershim with a bunch of off road rigs, 2 FJ40s, 2 Jeeps, 1 toyo buggy , my buddy and his friends all avid crawlers and frequent Dusy, Rubicon, Moab, and a bunch more places. I finally had the time to go on one of the trips and I am glad I did. High Sierras were amazingly beautiful even though we had to go to Cali it was still amazing. If you have a rock crawling capable vehicle I would suggest this trip to anyone that has 3 days to crawl plus travel time. It takes roughly 6-8 hours per day at roughly 10-11 miles total a day, set up camp have a cook out, fire, bullshit stories and off again the next morning after a fire side breakfast, that should tell you what to expect. The trail is closed now for winter and only open for roughly 2-3 months. Expect freezing weather at night in September (it snowed on us on the 18th second day of the trip). Was one of the best trips I can remember even though one of the rigs sheared drive shaft and we had to tow him out. Pics coming soon.
