I threw in a couple of photographs here from installations done by different contractors. This shows up our new twin wall, wood sublimation all aluminum roof. Besides quality in the Powder Coat is the best sold in USA for panel covers were known for our exceptionally long two and four post cantilever designs and now this one inch thick twin wall insulated roof design that can have a powder color or two different shades of wood sublimation. We don’t install it. We have a couple contractors and Havasu that buy from us on a regular basis and install in the city. For ideas, take a look at our Instagram page.

I'm investigating "solar pergolas" now. Ventura county wants engineering approval?

Solar panels over a pergola or that make up the roof of the pergola would kill two birds for us.

Any structure over about 150 ft.² is going to need engineering because it’s the structure no matter where you do it. I will guarantee you and you have to be very very careful on structures that support solar panels due to the weight and seismic, wind speed, etc., on your ZIP Code. We have standard plans and Nevada to put solar panels on almost one of our structures, designs and beyond that we have engineers that do site specific. so putting solar panels and an angle with a rack and then a lattice below that or whatever you want is absolutely doable.

In manufactured homes solar on the top of the roof because it cannot hold the weight in almost all cases . our structures can because our material is so heavy duty and engineered so well and use that as shade on top of car ports is. Common. . You could always enclose it below with some of the material that is shown above even in a different color, of course. And Ventura, I would be very, very careful with who you shop from because if it has steel, it’s a matter of time until it rust if you’re anywhere near the coastline, that’s why our material is 100% aluminum and any faster that may be hidden or not is stainless.

When We started the company. We wanted pretty much the best Powder Coat rating you could get for the southwest United States. I always thought of my house in Lake Havasu with UV 13 half of the year or more., so we use Amma2604 power coat running on every single piece that we make. I don’t believe anyone else in North America does that it’s a 20 year guarantee, but expected to last your lifetime.

And another thing we offer that no one else in North America does is the length of our beams. We have a 2“ x 10“ beam that is 33 feet long so that’s 33 feet long between posts. This is

all in 6061t6 extruded from billet.

Those are some very nice designs and the catalievers are great. With the monsoons that roll thru the river valley, Havasu etc. That could make for a real expensive insurance claim.
Have you looked into integrating solar panels into your roofing material? Is that even a possibility? Would there be enough demand to justify the development expense?

I'm more interested in 4 Post designs and possible the ones with the roof slats that open up so you can have closed roof or some sunlight and motorized side shades too
I'll have the solar panels on my concrete tile RV roof garage, but having them built into the gazebo would be a cool option

Still deciding if I want a prefab or block BBQ bar as well. Possibly something like this. I might have stole this from one of the RDP pool threads.

A modular design, steel frame fabricated framing system will give you many design options and more useable internal storage space and still allow most any exterior finish you choose. Might also be a bit less expensive.

The design above by OC I believe uses PVC posts, or is roll formed aluminum. So roll formed aluminum as an FYI is painted gutter down spout material, made by a number of MFG, commonly called Alumawood. 4 Seasons makes excellent roll formed aluminum material. That said, it will barley support a leaf, they use steel and slide a the roll formed aluminum material over it. Yes the material is less expensive, maybe 50% less, but install time to close to the same as they used hundreds of screws, that will in time rust. material makes up maybe just 40% of the installed price. As an example, lattice, we make is as long as 24', from billet aluminum extruded. Roll formed aluminum must be supported every 18" or so, or have steel inside. We started this company when we realized the only decent extruded product was Equinox. Come 5 years later their parent company tried to sell the brand to us! No thanks, we have the best, wifey has been in the aluminum industry for 30+ years. Price is the bottom for extruded, secret, we by mill direct, design in house, our two locations second in Corona, work their asses off, and we NEVER purchase any product from a distributor. Low margin, high volume, we are non-stop busy, even before Christmas. I need a break!

Thats a project I did for a member. That cover is before we started doing 4k covers, that one is alumiwood

edit : as far as bbq we do masonry CMU built. The one in your post is polished concrete counter

Look at this photo where the two beams come together and 90 degree angle that’s our famous corner beam connector. You noticed that there’s no screws in the outside. They’re done on the inside and when it’s on a post, there’s no hardware visible whatsoever. Where these 10” huge beams connect.

It’s all hidden we utilize the hidden stainless steel square u bolt that we make. Cantilevers use huge bolts most the time they can be hidden to. It is work but it is bad azz clean.
