I think my time with square is going to come to an end. Looking for alternatives. I do some drop ship and also pick up business. 4-8 invoices a month totaling 10-30k. All CC and mostly recurring clients. Its also very seasonal..mostly spring and summer, I may not do a transaction for up to 6 months at a time over winter.

Look at Stripe. No monthly fees. CNP is 2.9% + $.30 per transaction. Their invoicing system works good but there is an additional charge for that.

I use Quickbooks online. My clients can pay right thru the emailed invoice. The monthly is pricey but it makes sense if you use it for your books also.

While I have no experience with them, Zelle and Venmo come to mind since its such a small number of transactions. What about ACH transfers?

ach is full proof but an inconvenience for the purchaser.

Zelle is also full proof if you can operate within the limits of your bank, every bank is different. sometimes there is also a delay to get your money but the transactions are 100% non reversible like an ACH transaction.

for everything else, I use PayPal. There's a base percentage and a transaction fee. for me it comes out somewhere between 3.5-4% per transaction and the end of it all.
