The father Jack Hollywood played by Bruce Willis is my childhood friend and his son Jessie played by Emile Hirsch I have know since birth.The real story is pretty crazy and I witnessed it completely.They actually did a swat raid on live T.V. of Jacks house in west hills or canoga park as it was called back then thinking Jessie was at his home while I was on the phone talking with him watching the live feed from all the network news helicopters.Jessie at that time was in Brazil.

I watched the movie a couple months ago. Somehow the first time I watched it, I missed that it was based on real events. Sad deal.

Ended in Los Padres national forest not Palm Springs as the movie portraits. Wonder how much of it was true or Hollywood. Sad deal all around no doubt. Crazy shit happens everyday in the sfv.
