Will a 10 or 12 pull a skier???

I used to pull my wife up on a single ski with my 12'er......40 Tohatsu and Ski Pole with an observer in the boat.....wasn't an issue to get her up and definately only like 60-70% throttle to get her to her preffered 38MPH ski speed........that was in the day and she weighed like 115....me like 220!

You shouldn't have sold it for less is the answer to that problem.. Lol

I turned down 20 for my ten on the trailer at desert storm last year.. I was gonna out my 12 up for 13 the other night but Stacy pretty much put her foot down and said no. (lee said I was an idiot for turning down the 20 btw.. Lol)

7500 looks about right to me if it's as clean as it is in the pics and it runs well without hopping all over the place.

I heard the one at GT was painted. If this holds true, I no longer think it is worth 7500 :(

So how'd it feel when she cut left and right?? That would be an awesome boat to ski behind I imagine and funny as hell all at the same time. There must be no wake lol.

Actually it wasn't that bad......the center fin helped alot and she wasn't really a "Shoulder in the water" type skier. The wake was pretty flat.....but back in the early 90's we weren't even thinking about anything like a "Wake Boat"....in those days roll bars were for cars :)

Maximus, when are you gonna start racing again? MyT shirt just bit the dust (the wife's been trying to get me to throw it out, but I waited until it was more rag than shirt) and I need a new one. I figure if Grich won't race, find someone that's less than 100 to shoe it...

I have been busy with my buisness. Trying to regroup in this bitchen economy. One of these days. The boat is just sitting with a cover on it. What size shirt are you?

Are the 10/12 ft schiadas out of the same mold with a spacer or are there two molds? What does a 10er or 12 weigh just laid up? About as much as a jetski? Be cool to able to load them in the back of a pickup truck so you could take them to the ramp with the boat. I know its not the bling bling way to it but more practical lol

Two completely different molds.
Weight? I have no idea.

Do you gain a whole lot in ride quality going from a 10 to a 12? Are they pretty comparable in speed motor for motor?

I think there were only 5 or so 12's built. I think they ride better than the 10' and the length helps with take-off (getting the bow back down) when trying to get on plane. Lee just built an all red 12' so maybe there are 6 now. I like those little boats. I had a 10' and would like to have another one if I could ever find the right deal. You would probably want a trailer either way for moving them around.

How much weight can be slung off the back of a 12? I know the 10 is maxed out around 150.

completely different ride. My 12' was set up with a set back bracket so it was dramatically different than the 10' with the motor attached to the back of the boat!

Neither one is a Chop King but the 12 is noticeably better.

Cheers!
