I feel like this whole thing has bleen blown a bit out of proportion here. It was a fast pass that happens nearly every weekend. I'm guilty of it on the regular. I'll admit it, Theres been a few times where I made a bad call and didn't pick the best line. I don't think that pass was out of line though. I also get the way some people feel about it. Unfortunately we share the river with people with different views. We all do something others don't like and move on with our day

HTM hauls ass and looks to be pretty stable in smooth water. Be careful your boat is awesome.

Pretty sure they were eating lunch just an FYI.

On the flip side it’s never happened to date (to my knowledge) but I am flat amazed it hasn’t. I have seen a few guys almost lose it and recover. Saw a 21 Schiada lay over on its side one time so hard that we could see the turn fun on the bottoM. lol.
What about the guy who lost it in a 25ft cat just past foxs and ended up on the docks

Same could be said about DCB. Pretty sure more DCB's have been involved in Accidents than HTM's
Is this a call out? Ha. Only a few get upside down each summer, thats not too bad right?

Ok, caved and read this thing...I see both damn sides, I'm conflicted! I have done fast passes in my youth. Stupid ones on pavement and just reckless on water(haven't had anything in this ballpark for speed). I love watching the fast boats do flybys. Used to sit out by Needles bridge, just about dinner, or just before breakfast, to watch the flattys. Now I have kids...still love to watch the flyboys, but take a step back. We should all know the basics of velocity and trajectory. We know who does what and where. My general take on it is this: always watch your kids, and I respect trying to protect them...it's really your only job in life. If somebody's doing passes, enjoy the fact they're burning fuel and you're getting some entertainment from it.
Feeding one 1050 isn't cheap, I know that. This boy's feeding two on a huffer!

A few DCB'S every summer, and nobody hates on them... Theres no doubt they are fast and stuff happens when your going fast or driving over your head doesn't matter who built it..

When is the last time you heard of one having a problem ? Its been years .

I was going to say the same... I know of 3 besides the 30 at Castaic... all three were operator error. One drunk going around big bend (also now a dcb owner and talks shit) I won’t throw his name out there . Another one at the sand bar new to owning a cat trimmed down while turning after making a pass in 01 and one at loto all YEARS ago not letting off when he should have. My boat runs well over 120 every time it’s out and any and every pic the boat is flat as can be they’re super stable. Put an idiot in that has no common sense yes shit happens in any brand.

What I meant was nobody is wadded one into a bar full of patrons. Lol.

On the 26 DCB for some reason I though got they were heading south and then the boat went left and into the wall. I believe a girl was killed (in the boat) and they never did figure out who was driving? Long time ago though so I can’t remember.

Not being argumentative but unless there was another one that flipped at big bend the story that was posted was he was going around big bend at 35 mph and hit a jet ski wake kinda weird and it went over. It was like 10:00 am? (Drunk?).

I know his wife was pretty pissed off about the whole deal.

There was a period leading up to the infamous crash and a few years following where some of them went over, but who the hell can remmeber all the specifics and when and where’s.. hell I forgot about the big bend one until you brought it up.

In regards to Wayne and the Ghost of Coldfire. He has had a long recovery...he was at Billy's show a couple weeks ago and is using a walker. He looks great and his long term prognosis is good...he has no pain and he has been told the surgeon in Vegas that first night did a great job on the back surgery...so that's inspiring. He actually drove his Woody Meister (wood deck Sanger Flatty) out with us on a weekday to one of the big sandbars in Needles between Jack Smith and Pirates...he sat in the sand and for the first time he was enjoying life...as to the boat...I don't think he has even seen it yet. Billy and friends pickled the motor and fuel system right after the crash...but the boat did suffer some damage..v-drive exploded and his body did some damage as he exited the boat...

Good to here Wayne is recovering. For some reason I thought Billy already fixed the boat. I hope to see it running again someday, it was my favorite K Boat!

Just watched the video again a few times. Definitely was farther than 10 feet off the dock and pretty much everyone on the dock was filming him or watching the fly by. It's awesome shit like this that make Fox's and RR cool places to hang out.

How come nobody complains when a flat bottom, Schiada or Hallett take the same line that Ryan took??

Not only not complain, but like it!

Did I miss the close passes by the dock of Foxes at 125 mph in a Schiada? :D I would've liked to have been there for that.

This just in!

Can you ask him to go faster and also get closer?

Kidding aside, I’m just bummed I couldn’t be on the dock watching that boat. Bad Ass float...

For Sure. The only thing I am mad about, is that I wasn't there to enjoy the flybys. I liked the videos also. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

Sounds like Fox's need's to up their liability insurance a whole lot, and place warning signs for patrons of the hazards of leaving a boat tied to their docks, and drinking next to the river.

River was there before Fox's. Accidents happen because people like get to close too the action. And don't think about their safety, until it's too late..

By the way, I'd never take my kid's to a place like Fox's....even if I had to pull the boat out, and drive to Havasu.
