2 smoke or 4 stroke?
In the picture the "TR-1" engine sure looks like a DOHC 4 stroke.Last of the 2 strokes I heard from @cyclone
Displacement | 1049CC |
---|---|
Engine Type | 3-cylinder, 4-stroke TR-1 Yamaha Marine Engine |
Pump Type | 144mm High-pressure |
Fuel Type Recommended | Regular Unleaded |
Thing sure has an ugly front end.But they did a better job than kawi did with the size and engine package the tr1 is a great 3 cylinder engine and being 200 pounds lighter overall than the 1500.
I want one....love how they made a 4stroke 1000 at the same weight as a 2 stroke Kawi SRX800 #kawikiller
I know a guys who wants your SXR8...

If you still had it and was clean it pull about 3500 today.Dam! I paid $4500 back in 1990 when I bought one.
As far as I know, yes. Well, anywhere that allows jetskis. Up here in Washington, we have an area in Puget Sound (San Juan Islands) where any jetski is banned.Being a 4 stroke..are they EPA legal to ride everywhere?
56mph? Gotta be a mistake. I was doing 70 on a stand up in 1994.
Always rode them on the rails.I like the wide tray. Always felt cramped on a 440/550.
This thing has my attention. Had no idea the Kawi was so heavy.
Also like the lack of gaudy graphics

huh? I was the state champion in 94 on a 70mph SX750. Stroker, circuit jet sports motor. Not sure what to tell ya....I was there. My blasters and HX's were harder to get speed out of.Maybe on a trailer. On the Freeway.

That's badass, @SJP you're Drypipe Kawi was a runner and the price was right.Just finished up the motor build on my Superjet. Factory pipe, head and filters. I like to keep them reliable with a little giddy up.

nope, but i did practice at senators with Jacobs, Fish and myself had the 1st 2 HX's. His arrived a few weeks before mine. mac helped with a broken leg at race in 84 I think it was.Is this Jacobs, The Fish Or McCluggage? Holy Chit-I had a Jacobs PJS Race Gas 440 Practice Motor in my old 550 W/ a 440 Pump. Blew that up in 1 hour. That SX 750 Smoker is no Joke. Almost as fast as my FX-1 was back in the day....All my flat-nose SJ friends sent their stuff out to Group K under the Radar, we'd be at Temple Bar, ready for our 6AM launch to camp-and I'd fly right past um on my FX. Gawd I miss that ski.Long Live the 2-stroke.

Jacobs mod 1992 550 with the efi hit a top speed of 57mph on the courses i think the next fastest ski was about 52-53 and some were 750s.PJS had game up on everyone too bad bad business practice put them under and out.Is this Jacobs, The Fish Or McCluggage?
