I’m sure they are safer for it…

At least for the 30 days it’s in effect.

I guess we can be happy that the people who actually think before making decisions won this round...

I read that the majority of the crimes for which the Governor is virtue signaling were committed by teens.....who can't legally own or carry. smdh
The DA, County Sheriff, police chief all say they will not enforce the ban.

I was heartened to see the sheriff of that county said in public his office will not take enforcement action on the governors "declaration".
I hope they play her statement regarding the Constitution not being "absolute " over and over again as the election draws near next year.
Mrs FBT has an Aunt who lives in Albuquerque, and has for most of her life...her view on things is that the left power base has followed LA's lead on reshaping the culture, and "the chickens are comin' home to roost." sas Aunt Bonnie would say.
Just like they are in every major city led by the left, where crime is out of control and so is society in general.
I hope it does.

I am pretty sure her initial comments had a "Taskforce" of state police enforcing this.
They know where their checks come from.

This governor needs to be arrested for deprivation of rights under color of law, as this is as clear cut as it gets. The only way this sheriff gets my respect is by driving up to Santa Fe with a warrant and arresting her.

Has anyone seen any actual stats showing how many crimes have been committed by OC permit holders?😅

Is it still 0? It was last time I renewed. Other counties were perplexed how it was possible. 😂

Idiots never seem to understand that it is impossible to legislate their way to ending gun violence or gun control because unlawful people will always break the law.
If criminals adhered to the law they wouldn't be criminals.
Pretty simple.
The only chance to reduce senseless gun violence is when the penalty for gun violence is possible death by one's peers at the scene of the crime.
An armed citizenship is a peaceful citizenship.

That is what the 2A of our constitution stands for.
Equal rights to everyone.

That would be great. However, he would need a Assistant US Attorney (Biden DOJ) to prepare said warrant and then get a federal magistrate to sign it. At which time he, and a US Marshal could go serve the warrant...at least that is how it worked in my day.
I doubt he would get past finding a cooperative AUSA in New Mexico.
We can agree to disagree on the respect deal, he has mine. This isn't the first time he has made clear his take on this issue.

Couple things about our beloved CUNT governor...
She's settled 2 different lawsuits for sexual harassment. Last one was for pouring a drink on a staffers crotch&then proceeding to try&rub it out.
She imposed the 2nd strictest covid lock down in the U.S.
She's spending money to promote New Mexico as the abortion capital of the Southwest.
Prior to her unconstitutional edict she threw the liberal Albuquerque mayor under the bus big time. He's since responded that he won't be enforcing the phony health emergency.
She's pulled some really over the top shady shit during her 2 terms as governor.
I think this one finally is gonna bite her in her fat ass.
...did mention She's a CUNT?

The Sheriff already came out and said he would not enforce. It's a moot point if it won't be enforced.

Here’s the kicker:
She’s the same governor who eliminated qualified immunity for LEOs and govt officials.

Let’s see how they like getting sued personally for civil-rights violations, as the state police supposedly will enforce.

Coming home and telling your wife you’re losing your house because you enforced an unconstitutional law might be reason enough for cops with brains to make business decisions for their families.

My guess is that they will use video evidence from yesterday, to send citations out in the mail…no cop with a brain is gonna want to touch this, methinks.

Problem is city cops and state police might not feel the same way. Pronstar does make a good point though. See above.

My response to counting on law enforcement to not follow orders.

“So the Governor of an open carry state decrees the removal of constitutional rights and the ensuing debate is over what agency is tasked with enforcement?
It’s no wonder we are where we are.”

“Citizens relying on law enforcement to not follow orders…I’d call that an imperfect strategy…sort of like livestock?

“Well, with any luck the entirety of NM law enforcement will ignore the governor because they are “uneasy” about violating the constitution…and we’ll all be left alone.”
Smh

No different than placing one’s fate in the notion that all military and federal agencies will simply not follow presidential orders.
Might as well shoot ourselves and get it over with if that’s gonna be the play.”

The governor was literally asked if she thought criminals would obey this law…and she said no.
This has zero to do with Public Safety. It's a precursor to the Communists having the CDC issue a Public Health Emergency to circumvent the 2nd Amendment and begin Confiscation.

The Cold Civil War has already begun for all you who weren't paying attention. Prepare while there is still time. Shit's going to get real very soon folks!!!

Yep

The consensus among my friends is that she is following orders from above.
A beta run plain and simple.

She is testing the waters to see what happens so other blue states will follow her lead if it works. I heard they are looking into impeaching her. I hope they are successfull for our sake

With the governor shutting down QA for public officials (obviously, she was targeting cops) she has really stepped on her own tail.
The state AG has , with that "Yer On Yer Own" notice was also letting those who are planning lawsuits against her to bring 'em on...and she, with her behind literally hanging in the wind, is gonna be a even bigger target.
The fact that this is a temporary ban isn't relevant. The deed is done. Suing her civilly, both as governor and personally, is absolutely the way to go. No QA...she pays.
I hope the 2nd amendment organizations file soon, file often, and file big. This is a huge chance to make the left learn a lesson.

I shared this before on here . . . but every time something like this comes up , it reminds Me.

1st time going to Lake Martinez, late 80's / early 90's . . . my buddy & I walk in to the Fishers Landing Bar mid day on a weekday.
2 Surfers from HB in flip-flops, trunks, & lifeguard hats. 😆
No cars there, but a few Harleys parked out front when we walked in, . . . place was empty except the bikers at the bar.
Every one of them was open carrying . . . all 1911's , and as we cracked the door, they all looked over at us. . . Me & my Bro about shit ourselves, LOL.

Just as we were spinning around to GTF out of there, the nice gal behind the bar shouts, 'Hi Boys. . . . what can I get for You" ?!?!?! 😇

Total eye-opener . . . and we knew in that instant we had just entered an 'F-Around & Find Out Zone'. 🇺🇲

Had a total blast, and everyone was cool as shit !

I’m not hip on the laws and permits but I know some states are “open range” states I believe they are called?
Colorado is or at least was.
I think Alaska is too?

One could walk down the street with a loaded shotgun for example and as long as not infoxicated or pointing at people or otherwise antagonizing it’s perfectly legal.

🤷‍♂️

Open carry.

Open Range means livestock doesn't have to be fenced in for grazing.

Someone needs to get arrested for a lawsuit to have some merit. With everyone saying they will not follow the order and not arrest anyone, lawsuits will be limited.

Someone needs to be impacted for lawsuits to have any teeth. Looks back on the Covid lawsuits, until folks were impacted, lawsuits went no where.

Hope the lawsuits destroy her professionally and personally. The Dems absolutely convinced her to give this a test run. It’s gotta backfire or shits gonna be going crazy heading into the elections. DNC will do this everywhere to pick up extra votes.
Side note: Stayed in downtown Albuquerque in May. Was having a beer at the hotel rooftop bar with a coworker. Pipe bomb goes off 100yards to our right. Flash and huge blast. My coworker covers the area is saying it’s no big deal. “Probably a M80”. 5 minutes later to our left someone empties a clip. What a shit hole.

They can start by exercising their oath and arresting the governor for constitutional insurrection.

While it makes for good pageantry to proclaim that this or that agency will not enforce an illegal order, frankly that’s just doing your job, and you were never tasked with the illegal order to start with.
How about really doing your job and arresting the criminal?

I watched a Q&A and the press asking the Governor while not enforce the laws on the books instead of issuing an emergency order that only impacts those that follow the laws. Her responses were insane.

The PD needs the ability to enforce laws and the Governor is currently limiting their ability to do that.
