Hey guys I planned a Alamo Lake ride earlier this year in February, 5 of us went and had a blast. I have since planned another ride. I know a lot of you didn't go because we didn't get the cabins in time. Well this time I reserved all 4 cabins (all they have) for the weekend of December 14th through the 16th.
Note: we have 3 cabins Friday to Sunday and 1 Cabin for one night (Friday). At the time of the reservation this was all they had.
These cabins are pretty basic but will get you out of the elements.
They include 2 single bunk beds with mattresses (4 beds total, you must bring your own linens), 4 chairs, table, and heating and AC. These cabins can accommodate up to 6 people total (assuming air mattress on floor). Showers and toilets are nearby (waking distance) within the park. They also include a firepit and BBQ (charcoal). There are full hookups on the site as well for an RV.
To cover the trip cost and assuming 4-6 people per cabin, each person cost will be
$40 per person for the whole weekend.
you can send cash, paypal me, or write me a check.
PM me for details
December 7th will be the cutoff time. At that time any cabins unused will cancelled. ( I don't see that happening).

The ride:
We will start from Havasu (McCulloch and 95 @ the short stop) and leave roughly @ 8:00 am (official time TBD). We then will head down to Kevin's cabin and from there start crossing over until we reach Alamo Lake. There are several sites to see along the way (including cabins, ancient Indian ruins, mining equipment, views, slot canyon ect.) One way is about 90 miles depending on how many detours we make. On our way to Alamo Lake we will stop @ wayside RV where we can get Fuel, food and more beer (yes we cleaned them out last year even after bringing 5 cases!!).
This year we are going for two nights, so Saturday will be whatever we want to do day! shooting, fishing, drinking, we can go riding and explore more ect…
I also think it would be awesome to do a night ride through the slot canyon!
Overall this ride is between 180 miles to 220 round trip. Every vehicle must be able to do that distance without mechanical failures. Spares, jacks, tools, water, fuel are all highly recommended to bring with you. We will be traveling at a moderate speed (30 mph average). AZ Street legal is also required.
Note for Fuel:
Wayside only has 87 octane, so for you turbo guys please bring octane booster
87 octane at wayside is roughly $5 bucks a gallon or so as well
we all had a great time last year and we can have an even better time this year!
