Air tag at state park

Staying here at the Havasu state park and got an air tag notification alert. Anyone have this issue, or hear of any reports of this happening with things being stolen? Not sure why anyone would tag my shit since it’s all old by todays standards lol.

The rv next to me also had this notification on their phone but was unable to locate any tag.

Just wondering if this has been an issue in Havasu. Thanks !

In your air tag settings you can locate the airtag. It lets you know how close to the item.

There should be an option to have the AirTag make noise

Someone likely has an AirTag in their own stuff. It communicates thru iPhones. Anyone near AirTag with an iPhone, owner of item will be able to see item is where they want it to be ( or not where it should be )
Your notification is just letting you know there’s an AirTag present. Kind of silly since a thief would see the same notification, letting them know find it and toss before taking said stolen item to its destination.

Likely a neighbors boat, utv, golf cart etc
