Any of the braintrusts on here use an air fryer? Pros/Cons thing of buying one, which one is best?
Are most of you using a combo unit w/toaster oven or just a straight airfryer? I just bought combo unit but I was told that you can cook a steak in an airfryer that is outstanding, need info please before I fire this Cuisinart up-----THANK YOU

We use one at work. Chicken and any kind of taters are our go to..They cook really well (surprisingly), small portions tho.

I use mine all the time. I gave up putting it away, and made a space for it on the counter.

Costo has all kinna snacks you can toss in there and munch.

This one is Great for two people. If I had kids at home still, I would probably get something bigger.

Love it!

The kids use it for frozen food mostly when home from school. We use it for cooking veggies and seldom cook any fresh meat in ours.

we have this on the counter. I use it everyday for toast or whatever. We use it instead of the oven when hot out. Air fryer is the same as a convection oven.

Use mine all the time. Like mobster said, mine stays on the counter because of how often it's used. Hell, if I'm only using it for most frozen food I don't even wash it after every use. Like to keep it seasoned. 👍

Hate to admit I do the same at times.

Get one that's Easy to clean. I'll just throw mine in the dishwasher now and then. 😜

We have one, I just don't like cleaning the thing.

It puts a good crust on stuff, like baked potatoes

And cooks them a bit faster than the big oven.

We do a lot of stuff for the kids. Fries, tater tots, chicken nuggets. It’s great to reheat pizza in. We cook salmon in it. Pilsbury biscuits/rolls etc, are super easy in it. I bet we use it everyday or almost everyday.

We've have a small countertop model for almost two years now. It's great for hot meals without heating up the kitchen, and quick...which has been important. It is small though. Two weeks ago we got a new microwave/combo deal and a new oven. Turns out, the oven and the microwave can do the air fry thing. Once we figure out how to use them, we'll be set 🤣 The old air fryer will go to my daughter, and free up some counter space.

We have an air fryer on counter, but my little electric smoker BBQ has an air fryer on it, which is outside so I prefer to use that, cooks' wings rivermobster posted excellent. I use my own sauce on them.

I have the same brand as Joe's, but it's the multifunction oven.
Absolutely love it. Haven't used the wall oven since 2023 except for the broiler to zap some cheese bread. In the convection and air fry modes, the fan is a tad loud, but cutting you cooking time by at least a third even using a lower temperature makes up for the noise.

I have two Cuisinarts. I'll get back to the two thing. The air fryer is amazing for almost anything frozen and then some. Reheating leftovers from a restaurant is a game changer. It's also great to toast in. THE CHICKEN WINGS ARE INSANE! And now why I have two, the wings are so good in it but the Cuisinart is almost impossible to clean completely after cooking wings. I would cook wings and then anything I would cook afterwards the house smells like crap. It's a lingering smell. Not wanting to give up my wings, I said fuck it and bought another one. So now we have one outside that is only used for wings and one in the kitchen for everything else.

Buy a pack of fresh wings. Let them sit out for 15 minutes and pat them dry with a paper towel. Use a gallon ziplock bag and toss them in this:

2-3 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tsp Garlic Powder
1 Tsp Onion Powder
1 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Paprika
1/2 Tsp Pepper

Cook at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, flip the wings and cook for another 10 minutes. Serve naked as is with dipping sauces or get another bag and shake with a desired sauce like Franks hot, Hawaiian teriyaki or bbq sauce. Trust me on this one.

Because he didn't want the White House smelling like wings when he reheated his McDonalds fries in the air fryer? 🤷‍♂️ 🤣 I get it.

Used to use mine daily when traveling in the 5th wheel. Got pretty good with things.

Put down some parchment paper and then put your wings on that. Keeps things clean

We have tried a few air fryers and most are seriously underpowered, like trying to cook a roast with a hairdryer. then we got the instant pot air fryer lid. What a difference, not to mention that you can actually cook two portions at the same time rather than a few french frys at time.

We have 3 Cuisinarts for almost the same reason....we got one for a present and were very hesitant to use it, sat in a cupboard for many months before we gave it a shot....once we used it, we loved it but wife didnt like the grease smell of some stuff, so it moved outside....then winter hit and the wife didnt like to have to go outside to use it for non greasy stuff....so she bought one for inside...we love them so much, we completely stopped taking a bbq camping with us....I got tired of packing the one from home into the trailer, so I bought another one for the trailer....we use the crap out of all of them..
