With all the rain this year did the way up river change? Anyone have a current aerial view?

We went from Havasu to Topoc on Saturday. The path upriver has not changed. At the mouth (river meets lake) they added some red bouys to denote the infamous shallow area.

How shallow is it on the west side of that island at the entrance to the river?

Was curious about the red markers. Didn’t know if it was for lane choice. Haha

It’s the same snake around the island entrance as it’s been past few years now but it does seem like it’s getting narrower. Sketchy as fuck if it’s crowded. Going up you’re hugging the reeds (wrong side of the road) and kinda hoping no one is coming down river hot. I go wide but there’s markers for the shallow area and you can see the “channel” to run in is pretty fuckin narrow. Wouldn’t recommend coming off plane anywhere in the area.

That red stripe area marked is where we would always stay on plane and keep our feet up. 😁

Is there still a navigation channel for no wake traffic on the Cali side?

The dredging has filled in years ago, but depending on the lake level you can probably idle though there with a little trailer trim, kind of depends on the boat.

Funny thing is going up (sober) everyony is hugging the reeds. On the way home they are racing and go straight.......

I myself am not worried too much about it. I do maks a little S turn but not much. It is really shallow to the right after the reeds.

Stay left (going north) of the new red markers. It’s pretty shallow in there!

I went up Monday, The red markers scared me for a second at 70 MPH, Thought they marked a sunken boat for a second, Should be fun this weekend !
