Anyone have any info on this boat , trying to get ahold of mfgr to see if i can get one built?
Let us know if you get ahold of him, I’m interested in a 26 Savage. Will try that, do they just sell the hull and I have all rigged myself ?
That looks very similar to a 28 Cobra. What’s this. Looks way bigger than a 26’ View attachment 1384596
On the 26, they had one at a past DS that had an upper that was a deckboat style. Super nice, sleek, sexy and very functional. I think it also had twin O/Bs on it as well.I know the 26 is the DCB f26 lower and upper but was cut and modified for a wrap around windshield. Was also under the understanding the 28 was the same lower mold but with added swim step and then their own upper.
This ^As just advice, if you have to work this hard to track someone down to get something built, that is typically an indicator on how the build will go. Knowing a guy that has one of these, they certainly wouldn't be my first choice in this size class. They are sexy though! I'd look to Cobra before these!

I would be curious on the 28 if that is just a stretched DCB 26 and if it had been reworked to eliminate the hop. For that matter I wonder if the 26 bottom has also been fixed. Was it you that said Tony knew the fix for it? I wonder what the fix was?
True if you have to hunt them down to give them money imagine what it will be like if they have your money. As just advice, if you have to work this hard to track someone down to get something built, that is typically an indicator on how the build will go. Were the molds still there?I totally agree, boat is nice , but many other to choose from, I do like the Cobra and a few others, probably just wait till someone has something nice used to sell, stick with the Magic for now, thanks for all the info, I did drive by the address , looks deserted , would never throw $$ at that, thanks again.

Did see a couple pilled up, looked liked just all done with it, don't surprise me with no website or phone number that works. Were the molds still there?
This. He modeled the top and deck to be similar to a Corvette.I know the 26 is the DCB f26 lower and upper but was cut and modified for a wrap around windshield. Was also under the understanding the 28 was the same lower mold but with added swim step and then their own upper.

BTW, there is zero hop. Rigging is top notch.
I know Dean's been hard to reach. Had some health issues I think, but don't quote me. The boat is as bulletproof as possible. Zero issues after 5 years.
Not this one. This is Savage #3. The green/black one is #2. The first one has similar color scheme and pattern as this, but this one has the shear silver line extend past the chine blue line, orange contrast pinstriping, and this one is registered in CA. The first is now AZ & has less power too. Dunno how he flipped it..... That guy used to be on Insta with tons of pics, haven't seen any recent postings from him either.I know they were built very well just from crawling through them.
I think the one in the pic was involved in a roll over a few years back?

What year is the update?Hull started as the updated DCB 26 bottom.
That updated bottom was a solid runner.
I wanna say 2017 or 2018. The first hull was at the LA boat show in January 2017 or 2018.What year is the update?
He is not asking about the Savage deck, he is asking when the was updated hull (bottom).I wanna say 2017 or 2018. The first hull was at the LA boat show in January 2017 or 2018.
I want to say mid 2000’s. Ask Tony this weekend. What year is the update?

José who builds the boats and Bill has worked at DCB or Howard for 30 years so they know their quality all the boats come infused and cappedI was just looking for this thread shortly ago today. This cobra looks very similar (better imo) to the savage and being built by a company with solid history for quality and performance as opposed to some guy who's building as a side hack or whatever.
250kWhat’s a ballpark price for this build?
Would love to see some pics as the builds are going on
