56-10 Broncos.

I'm leaving my office in 30 minutes so I can head to the stadium and start tailgating.

Got the right idea. :D

Is it my imagination, or is this a butt kicking? :D

No, it's real. :)

Care to comment on your previous prediction / statement? Silver and Black are back? Back of the pack? Back to a losing season? Back to their old ways?

Aloha

Agreed. Answer up. :skull

My favorite team is who ever plays the raiders.

I've been saying that for a while now. There's a specific reason why though.

Took the little guy to his first regular season game. He did a lot better than I expected when I took him to a pre season game so I figured Broncos Raiders would be a good first regular season game.

This is him celebrating victory with his uncle Scott.

Bump in the road
As far as the $; the game opened 14,14.5
So on the parlay tickets the broncos got the $
The "smart $" bet the game up to 16.5
The Monday night game is the one bettors try to recoup thier losses on
so if you thought the broncos would win by 17 you lost

This thread is all meant for entertainment and fun- so quit hitting me with your purses:p

Gotta love the raider nation. They get the crowd worked up until it is time to play then their team gives them a time out. My favorite team is who ever plays the raiders.

I feel the exact same way, except insert chargers for Raiders:p

So contrary to one dumbass here on the forums, Raider fans are not the only ones who dress up and support their team:rolleyes:) Another hater proved wrong:D BTW cool for you taking your boy to a game:thumbup:

Well, they were right about one thing.
Peyton did wind up on the bench, and the Raider defense had something to do with it.
They couldn't stop him, he ran up 37 points and they took him out to let the backup guy get some reps.

Did I miss something? I thought I saw Manning in there for the entire game, including 2 kneel downs at then end of the 4th to close out the game???? :headscratch:

Kudos to Peyton... He was just masterful......

Actually the Raider Nation that hang out at my local watering hole will tell you "Broncos didn't cover the spread."
To them now-a-days that's a WIN for the Raiders.

It was 21 points spread (20.5) last I talked to Jimmy Booze on Sunday, and it worked that $110 bet would have earned $100 ($210 payback) from the "store".
I can't ever remember a spread like that.
I've never seen so many people betting on a game get their ass kicked like last night.

Like I've said, Raiders not as bad as everyone thinks,, yeah they suck and they probably won't win another game this season.
I would take that bet in Vegas. Opponents covering the spread,, now that's that tricky part and it's teams like the Raiders and Steelers that will fuck you every time you bet.

Week 4 coming up kinda dull games.
Week 5 will be interesting for NFL fans. Some good games scheduled.

Seahawks fan here.
It's been like being a Cubs fan for the past 37 years.
I think our time has arrived.
# 25 Sherman is the most entertaining player in the NFL.

The NFL is one more rule away that favors the offense that will effect and hurt fan interest IMHO.
I think that was quite evident last night.

So by taking Manning out, 2nd string in, spread not covered, does John Fox hide out for a while? LOL

They could have easily beaten the spread.

To the idiot that started this thread. "Pryor concussed in loss to Denver last night". Kinda ironic, don't you think. Good luck with your season.

Raiders have a football team? I know they have lots of fans... Still don't know why(?).

Btw, just how many quarterbacks have the raiders had in the past, say 10 years?

Keep tryin... Nuff said.

They have had fifteen. That is the real number not an exaggeration.

This is one of the problems, no stability:thumbsdown

Stability with someone who can motivate the players, or produce at a high level at QB, is key.

Stability for its own sake, and hanging onto crappy coaches and QB's, makes no sense.

Sticking with John Gruden was the only stability they should have cultivated.

I agree 100% Gruden was the man but you still have to give things time to mesh. The man in charge was switching things so fast no one knew if they worked or not.

I don't think so.

I believe Cleveland has had 13 starters in 10 years.
I believe raiders have had 15?

I'm hopeful that Reggie McKenzie can turn that organization around. He's been there for a few years, and prior to that he helped build the Packers into what they are today. But it all starts with the QB - and he had Favre.

Any GM/head coach is only as good as his starting QB.

You look at guys like Scott Pioli...looked like a genius in New England. So the Chiefs woo him away and he's terrible due to lack of production at QB, and now he's out of work.

Bill Polian of the Colts...former GM of the year! Manning goes down, he's looking for work.

It goes on an on...

Good point. Pryor is not bad, way better than Flynn in my opinion so maybe they can start working on the fundamentals, LIKE MAKING SOME POINTS!!!!!!!! Still they look better than they have in years:thumbsup Notice I didn't say they were Superbowl bound;)

IMO the Raiders have a lot of holes to fill, QB being the start. WR, TE, RB(Mc Fadden too injury prone), defense all aspects. They continue to draft horribly and IMO the coaching staff is way too inexperienced.

Other than that they are heading in the right direction.

They're scoring points and moving the ball, which is a good sign compared to the recent past

They had a strong defense a few years ago when Rob Ryan was their D Coordinator.
The Raider's draft is still hamstrung by the poor decisions of Al Davis - he traded-away draft pick in his later years, didn't value them at all.
Two first-round picks for Carson Palmer...really?

Also, you have to consider that half of the Raiders' current salary cap is going to players who aren't even on the team anymore - the overpaid crappy players who ran fast 40's that Davis love to cultivate. That's a huge issue for McKenzie to overcome - he has no money to attract real talent.

The Niners had a similar problem for a long time.
Once you get out from under the burden of paying former players, you can (hopefully) start to afford players who can help your team.

My team is Dallas and they are gonna deal with salary issues for a lot of years, but they do know how to move/manipulate money better than most teams, they don't know shit about drafting but moving money around is their specialty.
