Outlaw:bowdown: you da man.
ya know, if your day job ever fails you,you could make a killing doing custom re rig,or take it a step further and buy blank hulls somewhere and do custom boats. you realize this is how Dave @ DCB got where he is? you have what it takes to pull this off:bowdown:

You know how a lot of times pictures don't tell the whole story? I got to stop by and look at this... Amazing boat today, and if you think it's a good looking boat from what is posted here, then I wish everyone of you could see it up close- Stunning!! There is so much detail and thought put into this build, and it shows!! It's so nice I'm scarred to see it get wet. (although he says it's gonna get run every chance it gets and I believe him!) I can't wait till it's done!! :drool

Thanks, I've done most of the small items, paid to have the intake and heads done, Aloha Jeff is correct, the boat is definitely a bread $$fan.
also a song made popular by Metallica. My kids love that song.

Did a test of the fuel tanks, it was a little strange having 12V wiring
running into the gasoline, so I did a test run before I installed it into the boat with 100' leads, the pump worked fine and did not explode:thumbsup Brett from Aeromotive gave me a go ahead on my in tank installation:D

using Flamemaster B2 to seal the bulkhead fittings and access panel
in the tank.

Sorry not too many thing to take pics of at this point, doing some wiring
plumbing ect.

Boat is coming along awesome!! I liked the name right away, and understood the meaning. Here is the vid of the original song, by Budgie. Metallica covered 2 songs from them, this one and "crash course in brain surgery", both on Garage Days EP. Keep up the stellar work and pics, I love watching this thread.

Boat came out bitchen, very nice work. Lot of blood, sweat and beers in that makeover. Question - why are you running a rudder on your pump?

Marko - heard you were out in parker - missed ya this weekend. Hope everything was good with the cole :thumbsup

thanks Not finished yet, waiting on rails and hardware to come back from the polisher and powdercoater.

Not sure I'll keep it on, I cut it down to almost nothing but wanted something
One lake that I frequent has a very long no wake zone and without
a rudder its a pain. I'll try it both ways and see what I like

LOL... I'm positive it will rain on me the first trip out:D

I'm definitely going to test some different cleaning products
and I'll post the results:thumbsup

So far I'm liking the pink metal wax product( quick shine) for touch up on polished pieces.

also the 4 step metalwax process works great on stainless.

I have not seen it used the way you have in a new build, but it has been used in new builds as an inlay for part of the graphis on several new builds.
You are 100% correct that its a pita to use,the Eliminator laminators hated doing the inlays of that stuff. After they would lay up the cloth and it cured somewhat,we[the gelcoaters]would have to go in and spray some silver gel over the top. This was a must do deal, the resin they used to do the inlay was a special ultra clear resin, the silver gel formed a barrier for the rest of the laminant that was more of a brown color. All told, the silver inlay added a half day of extra work.
Sorry for the small thread jack, now back to Outlaws killer build.

I just used the amber resin and it dulled the silver glass somewhat
but not too bad, actually gave it a goldish tint that looks great in the sun:boobeyes:

I plan on building an engine cover this winter using the silver on the engine side, I'll have to look into the ultra clear resin when I start that project.

no thread jacks here ... its all good info:thumbsup

pressured up the fuel system last night, had one AN fitting fail @ 75 psi:grumble:
my base pressure will be 45psi with a max of around 55psi so I wanted to test it 20psi above the max.

also tested the circuitry of the fuel pumps, everything is a go:thumbsup

The fuel system was a challenge to design and install with dual pumps
inside the tanks and setting them up to work as a main and auxiliary pump
depending on which tank was selected.

The fuel system uses an IMCO switching valve to direct the return fuel
the the corresponding tank, I added 2 additional micro switches to it
that control the main and auxiliary signals from the EMS. So basically
when I select the left fuel tank the left pump becomes the main pump
and the fuel returns to that tank, the right pump becomes the auxiliary
pump and will activate depending on the parameters I choose in my
setup.( Like RPM and/ or load). When I select the right tank everything reverses.

I will be hooking up the EMS tonight and setting the parameters for my application:drool
