Accident at Martinez this past wknd

A buddy of mine was involved in an accident on the Lower River this past wknd. After checking to make sure all persons were okay the other boat ran, we assume there was alcohol involved on the other boat, my friends were all completely sober. The picture is just an example of what the other boat may look like. If you hear or see anything please call my buddy Zip.

My friend his 4 year old daughter, girlfriend and another couple were on his boat. All were thrown into the water except the daughter, they were very lucky.

The boat that looks like the one attached will have heavy front end damage as my buddies boat went over the front and his outboard motor took out a pretty good sized piece.

Again the boat pictures is not the boat they hit, just an example of what it looks like. They think it was a magic with flames or tribal

That's a 23' Ultra pictured. Not an extremely common boat but fairly common down there.

If somebody knows the exact colors that would probably help.

The boat was red and white, they know that for sure. They aren't sure if the manufacturer, the picture is just an example of sized and style. It was definitely a deckboat.

Wife and I were floating down river just above piccacho on Sunday. Saw that boat float by full of people obviously having a good time. I've never seen it down there before. But for sure it was a red and white ultra 23 deck like the picture. I Remember distinctly seeing it on the water this weekend a couple times.

If this is what you saw floating on Sunday above Picacho, that was us. And we were having a great time. It is a Carrera 257 Party Effect.

I'm glad everyone is okay and the guy turned himself in. I was afraid of people thinking it was me.

Dalton FYI John got his truck back years ago, i cant understand how people can make up drama and not know anything about me 99% of the thread is lies , i assume my competitors that fund that site are trying to make me look like a dangerous company "zips suspension will kill you "never 1 suspension failure and all of my customers are on good terms with me.

Long story short I was driving my boat south on the River about five miles north of Lake Martinez I was going about 25-30 miles an hour at about 9:30 p.m. 12 feet off the bow of my boat I saw the 25 20 foot party cat with no lights on I swerved to avoid him and went right over the top of the bow all the passengers on board my boat except my daughter and I were ected . we collected ieverything and got a head count they are okay they assured me nobody was injured on their boat I ask them why they didn't have their lights on they said they didn't want to drain the battery I told him I had to get in the shore i was taking on water faster than my bildge could work .they started following me soon as we pulled into the entrance of Martinez they took off.

A gentleman at sand bar storage in yuma found the other boat at his facility lifted up the cover and saw the damage he messaged me on Facebook and I told him to contact Yuma county sheriff and gave him the case # they took pictures and found the registered owner , I'll keep his name confidential but will say that he was not the driver and his kids were Hensel the hit and run they were drunk and scared. I got a setelment from their insurance my boat was totaled and will be getting a new ski boat and enjoying river life next season

Thanks bmac if not for LRJ I doubt I would have found them see you next season !
