Funny. Mine was 7 years to the day of started dating to wedding. I tell people her application process was very long.

Met in '77 at work, dated for 3 years, got married in June of '80. 42nd coming up. Both our families were river and desert folk, fishing, dirt bikes and Jeeps, . . passed all of that onto our three sons.

She has absolutely made my world. I couldn’t imagine having any sort of life without her..

Think we were in nearly the same Cosmo room location last April.

Cosmo has some nice rooms. I really like that place. We hired a photographer and just walked into Caesar’s pool when it opened and did our thing. No one bothered us. We were there about 2 hours for the ceremony and taking tons of pics around the pool. Doesn’t get cheaper than that for a wedding

Met the wife sending photos over the company fax machines. She in CA me in HI before I moved to CA for 3 years in 89. Decided to move back to HI after working in South Central during the Rodney King riots. Ended up getting married eight before moving back in August of 1992. I guess that she somehow has put up with me for just about 30 years.

Was hanging out at Hooters with my friend/boss. We were about 4 pitcher's deep. She was our waitress and asked if I wanted to go party with her and some of the other girls after work.
Being hammered and broke at the moment I declined. After she walked away my boss smacked me upside the head and hands me a hundred dollar bill and tells me what a dumb ass I was and I better sober up and go. I did. Had a great time and we immediately hit it off.
A few months later I found out from a girlfriend of hers that she was dating some Rockies player and dumped him after that 1st date. Man did she fu k that decision up.

Yeah man he was one cool cat. New him for 30 years. Worked for him for 6. He was a great friend, father figure and mentor. He was a little pissed when I quit and started my own business but we remained very close.
I owe my family, life and business success to him.
Unfortunately he passed away week before last. I miss him dearly. Gonna be tough to not have him a phone call away to talk shop, family and just bullshit with.

The irony is that I ain't pretty, I don't have a lot of $, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, and my humor is about as dry as a popcorn fart, but I'm guessing that I'm doing at least something right to keep her around and interested all these years...!

Met my wife at a function for the hotshot crew I was working on at the time she was the sister of A fellow crew member. We talked a bit but I didn't want to push hard being it was a crew members sister. Well that was all over when he invited me over for dinner with the family and the he said oh yeah Tina's gonna be there. Together 12 married 8. Our wedding day is 3 days after my birthday. June 15.

She said “I can’t go to the river with you, I hardly know you”

I asked what are you going to do this weekend? She said she didn’t know, probably not much.

I said on Monday when people ask what you did this weekend do you want to say I don’t know, not much?
Or, I went to Bullhead, we went Jeeping in the desert, shooting, and partying in Laughlin.

So she packed a small bag.

We get to the house and turn on the water and she needs to use the restroom.

I couldn’t help myself and peeked into the bag she brought to see.
The usual river goods, shorts, tank tops, a toiletry bag....and a stainless steel S&W .357 Magnum revolver

I knew right then this would go somewhere.
