) I was dating some other chick that worked there at the time. My wife had a long time boyfriend at the time, that she was already living with as well. Remember now, im 15 but my wife is 20. My wife always says she didn’t fire me, and she’s not the one that made the call, she’s just the one that had to walk me out. Anyways, life goes on. I go work at Denny’s as a waiter, and then UPS as a small sort sorter. Of course I date girls and live my life, but all the while I would always ask our mutual friend Lauren how Michelle was doing. Well one day I’m talking to Lauren, and she says “oh I forgot to tell you, Michelle and Robert broke up.”I’m 20 now. Lauren, Michelle, and I all worked together at the diamond bar Petsmart, but when It shut down, Michelle and lauren went to walnut. I had already been fired. Lauren stayed in walnut, but Michelle went to yorba linda. So Lauren tells me Michelle is single, and I start thinking. I had Michelle’s number, but I didn’t want to just send a random text like “hey let’s go out” so I decided to do things in person. I went to her job and started looking at fish tanks. I found a 100 gallon tank that had a damaged hood or something. The associate came over and asked if I needed help, and i told him yea I like this tank but it’s damaged or whatever, and asked is the manager here so I can ask her about getting a discount. He went and grabbed Michelle and I started bullshiting. Long story short I tell her I want the tank. As we’re talking and catching up I ask her how Robert is doing, and she tells me they broke up. I already knew that, but that’s when I decided to ask her out. She said she wasn’t doing anything that night, so I asked her to go to the movies with me. I took the tank home, and put it in my parents garage on the floor. We went out that night, and well you know the rest. A couple weeks into dating, i took her to meet my parents, and hang out. The hang out spot at my parents was always the garage. She’s sees the fish tank, and everything I bought with it and asks why it’s in the garage. I said “oh I didn’t want that stupid fish tank, I already have one, I just wanted to ask you out”
I moved into her apartment pretty quickly. I was still kind of acting a fool and my parents were getting tired of me. Michelle and I bought our first house in 2010, married in 2012. I didn’t get my shit together for a few years after that, and I don’t know how or why Michelle stood by my side, but like I was saying the other day, we’ve honestly never been happier than we are right now. @monkeyswrench post made my eyes feel funny because I often wonder how my dad feels about everything. He tells me how proud he is and i know he means it. My parents have always stood behind me. No matter what. I’m really happy they are getting to see me do well, and not just constantly struggle. I owe most of that to my wife, but I like to give myself a little bit of credit too. We talk about retiring and what we want to do later in life a lot, so I hope we are pretty serious there’s a lot I left out about Michelle, Robert, and I that’s pretty funny, but I could write a book on that. The last time either of us saw or heard from him, was when I choked him out in her apartment while I was in my boxers.

Funny. Mine was 7 years to the day of started dating to wedding. I tell people her application process was very long.
Best thing that has ever happened to me. 4 kids and 8 grandchildren. My best friend married us.
That's a great pic at Ceasars!Met her when she was my daughters softball coach. Dated for 21 years, married for 3 years so far. She retired at 59 3 years ago. Now she is on my insurance
