Not the best picture but I saw this today in Ventura. Is this a Jeep thing? Mounting your shocks upside down so that the bypass portion of the shock is closest to the ground? Never seen this before maybe it's either to make adjustments?

Those are the new Falcon shocks my Teraflex. They are designed to run that way.

Jeep parts.... slightly change something to make it "specific for Jeep" and then charge 5x as much. Lol!

there is NO WAY I'd run shocks on a Jeep that way = they wouldn't last one trail...

My SiL and a couple of his friends were laughing it up about an offroad deal one of them was at somewhere in central TX. All these high dollar ultra modified offroad Jeeps and other 4x4's were going at it in heavy terrain......Not one of them could keep up with this old boy driving his beat up old military surplus Hummer.:skull

3rd gen Rams had to run that way, due to upper mount location there's no room to mount them conventionally.

Interesting, Like I said 1st time I have seen them mounted like this so wasnt sure if it was right or wrong. Seems like poor design and just something else to potentially smack and break while on the trail or rock crawling.

That sticker in the back window that says "Moab" explains it all to me...

If the shocks are specifically for jeeps, they need different ends and possibly make it a remote reservoir king shock ends.jpg

A shock shaft is also prone to breakage. While much smaller, a nick is all it takes to impair it.

Carli did make a little shield for the front of the shock body.
