She gave me a recipe she printed out a recipe on a year or more ago, and noticed (and busted my balls) about maybe it’s time to get some readers.

I’ve been complaining for some time now they keep printing the fine print smaller and smaller.

Apparently it’s me.

It’s likely I’ll bitch less about black pinstripes on black molds.

Anyhow.
I feel fortunate to have made it a half a century before needing visual aids.

I started at 1.75 at 50 around 9 years ago. Just got a 5 pack of 2.5’s from Amazon the other day.

My eye Dr calls them transitional glasses, so I don’t feel old.
Had to start wearing them at 37 so I could read the computer then the printout on my desk.
Sounded better then readers and bifocals

2.5 gets me by, but the left eye is now fucked.
Have an eye appointment this month.
I’m sure I’ll need prescriptions.
The lady at my last DOT physical said she wouldn’t pass me next time without prescription glasses.

I used to joke in my shop how 2 of the older guys would read papers. Instead of going back to the desk to get their glasses, one guy would hold the paper real far away, the other would hold it real close.
I’m lucky I have long arms.

I bet I’ve bought 25 pairs of those, they are the 10mm socket for old folks. I found if I have 2 pair at home, the office, the river, 2 pair in every car I drive and my briefcase I’m pretty well covered. That means I can’t find a pair anywhere.

I just went to my first eye doctor appt. in 30 years. I need 2 sets of glasses. One for close up and one for distance. The Dr. suggested I not get the dual lenses cause I will be tilting my head when using the close up side? Fuck if I know. What I do know is if I start wearing glasses I will quickly become dependent on them.

Great advice. I did and got a perfect distance sunglass. Used my Ray Ban frames.

At one time I had 20 pairs strung around before I gave up and started wearing glasses full time. I still have 2.0 cheaters in my welding helmet so I can see to weld through the top part of my bifocals. Wearing glasses full time was an excellent decision.

I went to the eye doctor last year for the first time. Found our I needed 2.0 readers. Doc said I could even benefit from using them for more than just reading and said my eyes were pretty bad for 36. Probably will need some sort of prescription by 40. Yay me!
