Sugar on apple with Colin Ferril. Great show
With a twist. The pace and cinematography is pretty cool.

And

A gentleman in Moscow with Ewinn McGregor. Historical fiction. It’s about a auristocrat that has been imprisoned in a high scale hotel in Moscow during the Russian revolution of 1917 right after the bulksavechs killed the royal family and most of high society. Based on the book it as filmed in the real
Hotel in Moscow which is still there. The show led me down a rabbit hole of watching documentaries on the Russian revolution. VERY interesting topic about how Russian communism came to existence.

Anyway, great show

From
What I’ve heard the show does a good job keeping true to the book. I think the production is excellent and the acting is very good.

Also, fun watch is “Clarksons Farm” about Jermey Clarkson’s (top gear fame) purchase of a thousand acre agriculture farm in England. Shows on Prime. The politics in England! Holy shit!!! You think it’s bad here. England is basically socialist already. Funny clarkson is no fan of government or liberals.

And while I’m at it. fallout (post apocalyptic sci fi)

Shogun season 1 was great. About the first English to reach Japan for trade.

Franklin with Michael Douglas is also pretty good, about Benjamin Franklin's diplomatic work in France during the revolutionary war.

Started watching Tokyo Vice. Based on a. True story about the first American (or any foreigner for that matter) to work for the huge Tokyo newspaper as an investigative reporter in the 90’s. He starts investigating and hanging around the yakuza. it’s done REALLY well. Probably 65% Japanese subtitles though.

The main actor is the dude from the movie baby driver. And the main Japanese cop is a character actor that’s been in a lot of stuff. Pretty crazy that the white dude became fluent in Japanese for the roll.

Highly recommended.

Man in Full with Jeff Daniels on Netflix (Drama) and Outer Range with Josh Brolin on Prime (Sci-Fi). Both are worth a look if bored.

I liked Reacher on Amazon. I hear they might be making a third season.

I could go down a rabbit hole on the streaming services. I got to watch out or I could be watching for hours.

Very timely, thanks, I just queried Netflix on old posts here yesterday and started Fallout last nite, so far so good...!

Started Florida man a month or so back and I thought it was pretty darn good, but the boss, who has veto power, vetoed it... Used to travel for work pre-COVID and could pick up on the veto'ed shows while on the road, but no more travel so it's hard to keep up these days...

Plus we scaled way back on subscriptions so I'm limited to Netflix and Prime, I don't have all those fancy channels that you ballers have...!

I've been meaning to start Outer Range. 1) I like sci fi. 2) Josh Brolin is a good actor.

We do the family share type thing with our subscriptions. We subscribe to a couple and share the info with like 3 of our friends / family. They subscribe to 2 or 3 others and share theirs and so on and so on. So out of the 6-8 subscriptions we have, we really only pay for 2 or maybe 3. It works well. Every so often need to replug the password in and send a code, I just text the account holder. ;)

On HBO.

Appropriate for the Monaco Grand Prix weekend.

We’ve really enjoyed all seasons of Clarkson’s Farm. This last season was probably the best. Each major cast member does a very good job. Knowing and enjoying the Brit humor helped us enjoy each episode. Nice to see Lisa play a larger role. She’s a good looking lady and perfect opposite Jeremy.

Has anyone tried “Dark Wind”? We just started it. The story takes place in N AZ on the Navajo Res. Believe now there are 2 seasons of episodes. It’s on Prime Video and AMC.

They just released the 2nd season this month. It just hasn’t been picked up “yet” for a 3rd season. Probably depends on how well it does next couple months. Josh brolin says he’s talking about a 3rd season though. So it’s not over just yet.

YES!!! I watch episodes every so often when I come across them. Might have to binge it from the beginning soon.

The absolute best TV show opener in the history of TV. Tits, ass, Ferrari's, Offshore Powerboat all in a 1 minute opener!? WTF?!

.44 secons. ;)

GREAT show! I dig Guy Ritchie's stuff. His movie "The Genlemen" was fantastic too. Great fuckin' cast!

Season 3 of Dark Wind started a few weeks ago and is still on AMC Channel.
