Keep in mind I'm all in on this boat at about $33K. We originally set out with a budget of about $100K but decided to scale things back as I was losing interest in boating in general and didn't want to have that kind of cash tied up in one. This one came along and was smaller and much less money so I said what the hell, it might be nice to have a boat I'm not so worried about scratching.

It's only got 265 hours on it and the interior is mint condition. It has only been on the crystal clear waters of Lake Tahoe it's entire life and I am the second owner. The only problem was gas had leaked out the breather and melted the paint on one side and it had a few scratches in the paint. I decided to have it repainted and change up the colors a little bit but also decided to stay with the stock graphics which aren't really my favorite but oh well.

The colors I picked were probably a shade or two darker than what I wanted but when the sun hits it you can really see sparkles.;):D

And did I mention it has a pump out head....if you've ever been on Tahoe you'll realize how nice that is.

What are you talking about???...I've had it up to 43 m.p.h. already.:D

It's a 260 SS.
Why only 43mph? Guessing the short drive down Douglas Blvd to Folsom Lake isn't long enough to reach posted 55mph speed limit? lol :D

Looks really good Greg, it certainly updated the boat 10 years. Nice Tahoe cruiser for sure.
I’m curious I hear all these crazy Tahoe huge wave stories. Could that boat get small on Tahoe on a rough day or no?

Me too! This boat is all about low stress and relaxation. I'm hoping we can experience it soon. We had a trip planned to Tahoe two weeks from now but Kate's Dad's situation has put that on hold for now. Even had a house with a dock and an indoor swimming pool rented.:(

Thanks! As far as Tahoe being rough the stories are true. LOL. Tahoe can be like glass but when the wind picks up in the afternoon stay the hell out of the center. About 15 years back I had a 26' boat break apart on me when I thought I could cross it. Lifevests on, wife crying, not sure we were going to make it. Luckily we had another boat following us....a 29' Shockwave Magnatude. That was the day I said if I ever owned another v-hull I would buy a Magnatude and I did.:D That boat loved the rough stuff.

Here's a pic from the day I test drove the Formula...you probably can't tell from the pic but there was about a 3-4' chop and we were only 1/2 mile off the shore.

What’s down below and what is under those hard covers on the port side across from the seating?

Im a little disappointed about this, I have been driving to reno/carson city for work recently and had been interested in boating on Tahoe. I have no interest boating in 3-4' waves :(

It’s fine usually. Just cold

You have to watch out for the wind though. When the real winds come up watch out.

You must watch the weather. If they are predicting a blow out then it’s just best to find something else to do

The ramp was crazy busy and there was quite a bit of driftwood because the lake is the highest it's been in a decade but other than that it was really enjoyable. I bumped 50 m.p.h. and once I burn some of the fuel off (550 lbs. or so) and propped right, I'm guessing 55 m.p.h. isn't out of the question and I'm good with that. One really nice thing that I've never had before was we were able to leave the bimini top up the entire time. Just a very relaxing boat.

Glad you had a good day on the water, what lake did you go to?

That would probably look sharp.

I didnt see what engine it has, 7.4L or 8.2L?
No plans on tinting the windshield, my only plan at this point is to run it and enjoy it...or until I get off my ass and buy @n2otoofast4u 's boat or another Magnitude. The boat has an 8.1 496Mag.

No, don't let what I said scare you away...hell, I used to bring my 18' SeaRay up here all the time.
