We do a lot of work for a Toyota dealership. Those Tundra's are not cheap!

Tacoma prices.....https://www.carfax.com/vehicle/3TMLB5JN2RM008853

Then again, the dollar has no value now. My kid has a pretty bad stutter that hasn't improved, so we booked an appointment with a speech therapist. 30 minute visit, $450 bill. Diagnosis....."your son has a stutter and we need to schedule another appointment for additional and more refined diagnosis".

Bitch wants $900/hr to tell us exactly why we brought him in.

I have a buddy that just paid about $78k for one and was happy about it. He was looking at GMC 2500’s and the one he was looking at stickered at $103k so he felt like he saved $25k.

Not the way I would have looked at it but he’s happy with his new truck so more power to him!

I'd be afraid to scratch the bed or the hitch ball in truck that cost that much....

I try to justify a new truck or boat just about every day and I think I’ll just stick with my 2020 and 2006. Prices are out of wack.
My 02 two wheel drive Silverado in snow country is appreciated so much more now. 😁

I'm looking for a 4runner for the wife....whatchu got?
We actually plan to keep her 4Runner. 2012 with 105k miles. I'm thinking about driving that to work so I can ease up on the mileage I'm putting on my truck.
We are likely going to wait until next year before pulling the trigger.

We are pulling the trigger on a 2024 Taco Off Road. $49k MSRP. Problem is they are so hard to get there’s no deals.

This has the Off Road upgrade package but not the Premium package.

Personally I think it’s overpriced for a truck that can only tow 5k and is missing a bunch of stuff you have to tack on another $5k for the Premium package to get.

This is replacing a 2018 Subie Outback.

Tundras are everywhere and you can probably deal on them. Tacos are scarce.

1794 edition is top of the line....
Capstone is the top model. My brother just got one and its a nice rig. Sticker was just over 80K I wish that I wasn't addicted to the torque of a cummins, I just picked up a 24' 3500 mega cab limited and I am not going to mention the sticker price (stupid). Bidenomics is really making our dollar go a long ways--McDonalds is now double digits and trucks are triple digits.

Longo has 2024 Tundra limited 4x4 for $62,200

Can you get an F150 or Chevy with leather and 4x4 for that ?

Happy with my 2010 F150 Platinum 4x4 that I paid $18K OTD in 2020 with 65K miles New cars are bananas

Longo is the best place to get a Taco, they get quite a few deliveries while a lot of other Toyota dealers get only one or two.

My exact words to him. Told him I was happy with my ‘04 2500 that I can actually use as a truck and not worry about.

My 2018 Chevy 1500 4x4 leather was $37500 plus fees. Traded it in for a 2021 2500hd z71 leather. It was $47,500 plus fees.

I still have my 2005 Tundra. Great truck. The 1794 Tundras have been 70k plus for a very long time.

To bad LOF isn't around to tell us that if you get one with roll up windows, plastic seats and no carpet and a regular cab you don't have to spend $80k+... 🤣

Even stripped down F150XL's are over $50k now for a crew cab 4x4.

We purchased a 2023 Platinum 02/23 it was 75 k with a10 year 125k service contract. In 05 we purchased a crew cab dually, Duramqx with leather for 40k, got 0 percent interest and a deal on the truck. still have that with under 50k miles on it. I have to admit the Toyota pulls the boat very well.

I should have added in my earlier post that this is my 3rd Tundra. I paid under msrp for all of them, even the '24 came in just slightly under (is what it is). I have had Fords and Chevy's (my last one I wore out at 250k miles driving back and forth from OC to Havasu in 7 years).

I was never a believer in the Tundra, but every time we take these trucks on a trip we rave about how comfortable and functional they are or have been for us. The generation 3 is a completely redesigned chassis and the turbo charged 10 speed is fast and smooth, and I am getting about 7-8mpg more from it than the last two (a 500ish mile range in all of them, the gen 3 does that with a gas tank 10 gallons smaller). ;)

How can you pay that much for a truck then have a yard of gravel dumped in the back and shovel it out a jobsite? Are these just fancy trucks to tow fancy boats around? Are basic work trucks this much? I see lots of em around. My '14 F 150 has plenty of scratches and I don't worry much about that.

Kid at work came in last week with new 24 Chevy TrailBoss. Nice looking truck with the 6.2, leveled with Fuel wheels from the dealership. Paid over $80k for it. Lives at home with his parents still but bought an $80,000 truck!

I'm hanging onto my 2017 Ram 1500 as long as I can. 140k on the odometer now, hoping to et 200k before having to buy another truck.

Not anymore….there’s two more above that. The Capstone is now the top trim level
Just built a Capstone on Toyota's website and it was $82030.00 A loaded F150 Platinum Hybrid was $86045.00

Exactly the same here. Really want a new truck but between the interest rates and the cost of these trucks its just insane. Been buying a new truck every 3-4 years since the 90s and this is the first time in my life I just can't make any sense of paying that kind of money for a new truck. Any nice 2500 or even well equipped 1/2 tons are 75-80k+.

These dealers have to be feeling the sting. Not many people want to invest 70-100k and have $1k+ payments per month. Most don't have the RDP wealth to pay cash!

One better. The new platform update for them comes out late this year. Same platform as the Tundra, Taco and the Landcruiser apparently.

The 2025 4 Runners are going to be spendy. They are supposed to slot under the Landcruiser, but when they quickly exceed the price of the base models I don’t know how well that will work.

I went on the build page to price out a new 2024 4Runner limited, just to have something to compare to the 2025 once they release it. The 24 is currently at $55k. I'm sure the dealer markup will be $10+ for the 25 when it hits.
I looked at the 24 Sequoia the dealership in Temecula had on the lot a few months back. $95k for the $75 MSRP Limited model... NOPE! I'll wait for the new factor to wear off. LOL!

$88,243 2024 Toyota Capstone 4x4
Dealer markup was only $2200.

Bought out of Lithia Toyota in Springfield OR. Used our address up there to avoid paying NV sales tax (~$7169) and registration (~$1577).
OR registration is $500 for the first 4 years--then about $200 every 2 years.

Dealerships in NV and CA all wanted $8-12K markup. There we no Sequoia's on the lot to test drive or even look at. Had to test drive the sales mangers Tundra then could only look (and not go in) a sold Sequoia on the lot.
We keep out trucks till the wheels fall off--so this one will be here for quite some time.
truck is smooth and quiet. Capstones use different windshield and front PAX glass to reduce noise. All our kids says the rear seats are wider and more comfortable than the Escalades.

I think when we priced out all of the other SUV's--the Toyota was the least expensive with all the same options.
24 Yukon Denali ~$106K
24 Grand Wagoneer III ~$110K
24 Escalade - Way more than the GMC
24 Expedition - did not like
And these were the prices without any dealer markups. So Toyota brought back a lot of value in my opinion.

Posted pic already, but..

We are all setup for the big mortgage refinance. $80k isn’t that bad if you spread it over 30 year. 🤣
