Cutting up the Eagle (V-hull) molds and taking them to the dump seems like a waste and is a shame. Why not sell them? Even if they got $1, it would be better than nothing and the molds could live on.

Dave, video is awesome. Had a build done in 2003, flew out to see it popped and put together. Brings back a ton of memories, but Jake has moved it forward to 2024 in a BIG WAY. I’ll watch regardless of length, but I like the full tours. Thanks!!

And when he walked back in the door, I was rigging boats in what was known as “his spot” in the rigging line. That’s full circle right there.

Very good video and just about the correct length. Watching the process puts the cost of a custom rigged boat in line with the labor hours required.

Thanks for a good shop tour Dave and the team at eliminator. It was cool to see them busy. It would have been nice to see some content with some of the team members building the boats, but i understand they have schedules to maintain. No one was really "hanging out" anyway. Im excited to see what "skunk works" has in store for the community. Thanks again

I agree. Videos just like that.

I was there for the open house about 4 or 5 years ago. It's different even from them. Would love to do a brand new eliminator someday. Never been in a new speedster. But I've been in plenty of Daytonas. Awesome boats going to the next level. May they continue their great success, great to see.

Great video @RiverDave. Maybe a little contrary to other comments, but I would like a deeper dive into some of the technical stuff. As the video showed the leading builders are embracing new tech to improve the product, manage cost, etc. Your background in manufacturing would make it relatable and credible. Thinking about it, i guess it would take a bit more effort in pre-shoot scripting and shot set up than the typical fly through shop tour, but there is a great story to be told. That said when the builder has a 2 year backlog, they may not see the need.

Anyway, nice work man.

For it being so long 3.8 thousand views already is pretty incredible.. maybe we will do more like it

Long form videos are cool for sure! Would be rad to see a similar vid for as many West coast builders as you can. All of the big boat mfgs back East have tours like this.

Would love to see you cover some builds during their build process and then shoot it on the water too. Or even just a shop tour + lake day to see the boats in action!

And as stated by others, camera guy needs to focus on what you’re talking about!
